I got notice this was playing at Hollywood Theater/Theatre tonight. Looks rather interesting…Ron Jeremy is in it and apparently a priest…wow

Aleister Crowley remains a controversial figure. He was resurrected from obscurity by the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne. Crowley born is 1875 became an accomplished mountain climber, world traveler, writer, poet, painter and socialized in Bohemian circles. “Abbey of Thelema” is tackling the most controversial part of Crowley's life, beginning in New York as a painter and meeting Leah Hirzig. The Abbey, founded in Sicily in 1920, was a forerunner of hippie communities with it's experimentation of drugs and sexuality.
With a media campaign launched (who named Crowley “the Englishman we'd like to hang” and “the wickedest man on Earth“), and Mussolini's abolishing secret societys (from Mafia to occult ones),Crowley was deported in 1923. Crowley remained mainly in Europe until his Great Feast (Death) December 1st, 1947.

when i used to rent porn..i would scan the label to make sure that ron jeremy was NOT in it.
sorry.
Kelly,
Sure..I’ve actually never seen a porn movie with him in it. But, I know why he’s famous and he was rather funny in Orgazmo (who wasn’t? A+), and to see him playing this character is interesting. I wonder what these filmmakers offered him to be in this…what do you think?
Well, not to be a dick but, from what I have been seeing, Ron Jeremy will do anything anywhere for any amount of money.
Read: attention-whore.
Just my perception.
First, has anyone seen it and is it good, and how was RJ? I wanted to go, but went to see “Circus me Around”–which was great–Thanks, Linda!
Kelly,
Sure…I’ve also heard that Samuel Jackson and Christopher Walken never turned down anything. I don’t think for them that was about attention as much as they like to work as much as possible. Which explains how come they have so many bad films.
RJ is in an outlandish industry (and one where people are producing constantly=a lot of work)…therefore, the side stuff he gets and all that is outlandish. It may appear like trying to get attention, but that is what he is supposed to do.
Attention WH*res to me are the one who do fake things like Brittany and Paris to get people to write about them. “I didn’t know that was going to be on the net, and I didn’t have underwear, etc, etc…”
He just lives the normal life of a guy who made a thousand porn movies, will make a thousand more (or not now that he gets real roles that pay more and side appearances, etc)and show up for money….
You know, what else is he going to get offered, an accountant job…host the emmys…if he wants to work, he gets what someone like him gets…weird, funky, outlandish stuff…
1. The movie sucked.
2. RJ actually did the best acting job in it. Which is scary.
I’ve had enough Ron Jeremy and Robin Williams for One lifetime, thank you very much.
NEXT!
p.s. Free SAT answer
Ron Jeremy compared to Christopher Walken
is like
Pee Wee Herman compared to Clark Gable
I’m not comparing their acting skills…I’m comparing their work ethics and large amount of production.
Work Ethics meaning they work a lot…hard workers…workaholics possibly
Oh.
Well then, that’s something entirely different.

I myself am itching to get hold of a copy of this movie but as yet cannot determine any sources of release, no listings on amazon etc and the website abbeyofthelemafilm.com is in a perpetual state of nothingness. Does anyone know any detail on general release in Europe, we are in Dublin Ireland. US DVDs are wrong region for players here but will play on pcs! Regards G. Powell adonis1@eircom.net
