July 4: Fourth of July Party in Portland | Take a Barfly Bus

Here is another July Fourth Portland activity. I highly suggest this one because the Barfly knows how to party and less people drinking and driving is always welcome.

Personally, I am getting rather annoyed by these party buses acting with impunity regarding city laws. Every weekend, they park in front of Safeway at SW 10th & Jefferson on 10th in front of St. James Apartments allowing riders to get off the buy, go into Safeway, and buy munchies and more alcohol right before beer sales end for the night. There is nothing more disruptive to a neighborhood than 20 drunk people standing in the middle of the street yelling and screaming at midnight waking up everyone around them.

    Edgar,

I like that you wrote this at 2:33AM. It seems they won’t wake you up then at midnight.

I agree that this sounds annoying, but I’d rather have the bus taking them to get beer before the end of the ride than these people driving themselves on beer runs after they got off. I imagine drunken drivers can be a bit more disruptive to a neighborhood.

Also, I don’t think they have them every weekend. Perhaps, yo are talking about someone other than the Barfly buses?
