Halloween in Portland is officially underway. In addition to Fright Town, Scream at the Beach (that's Jantzen Beach) also opens this weekend.

For the past two seasons America Online ranked Scream at the Beach as one of the “Top 13 Haunts” in the nation and attendance at the event increased dramatically. Nearly eveyone who visited said they came because of positive word of mouth, and a large number returned several times, bringing more and more friends each time. Scream at the Beach is considered to be the gold standard of regional “screampark” entertainment. The attractions are bigger and bolder than ever, offering cutting-edge, one-of-kind tours and so much more.
The 2008 Attractions
- The Awakening: The old manor hides its secrets well. But something strange is happening of late: lights appear in windows late at night and screams echo from passages below the mountain. Something evil has awakened, and it wants to party!
