PSU Monday Night Lecture Series: Courtney Fink of Southern Exposure

There is yet another fantastic Monday Night Lecture going on at PSU tonight with Courtney Fink of San Fransisco & Southern Exposure (soex.org). I’ll be there trying to convince her to move to Portland. Please come out and help the cause.

Excerpt from 2005 interview in SFist:
Courtney Fink, Southern ExposureFavorite mode of transportation
I love walking because I love looking. Walking is the perfect pace for seeing people on the street and looking around at all of the strange details and things that surround us. Unfortunately, I am usually rushing around…

Best Band or Musician to come out of the Bay Area
Since I don’t want to pick a favorite, here is a partial list of the bands I have seen play live in the past few months. I try to see live music whenever I can. Enorchestra, Ovarian Trolley, Dirty Power, Sagan, Matmos…

SF has the BEST:
Micro-climates. Produce. Colors. Nature close to urban spaces (We’ve got that too!!)Read more here

Prior to Southern Exposure, Fink worked at the California College of the Arts and Capp Street Project in San Francisco, and Franklin Furnace in New York. For almost 15 years, Courtney has been committed to developing the capacity of visual artists and the systems that support them.
