Fall of the House Last Week: "As addictive as reality TV" | Theater Theatre |

This is the last weekend to see Fall of the House, a story about Alison Hallett's boyfriend ex-boyfriend "Portland's favorite late-night improvised serial”. I went to see this “cult classic in the making” last weekend and it was terrific. I'm still kicking myself for not seeing all of them and telling every person who comes near me that they should go see this. Really, go see this….

Update: Review of Fall of the House: Season Four Opener | Portland Theater

From Miranda King (writer/director)Fall of the House at Action Adventure Theater Theatre, Portland, Oregon

Portland's favorite (and only!) improvised serial returns for its 3rd season! Watch the story of two households, seven roommates, six romantic entanglements, breakups, makeups, election day and karaoke! All this and more in the first four episodes of Fall of the House's yearlong, twelve episode season.

The story is mapped out, but actors work without a script, keeping dialogue spontaneous and reactions fresh.

Jason just reminded us another film event in PDX this evening for those of you who aren't going  to see Belladonna at Fantasy for Adults or The Astonished Man at Clinton St Theater. Between just these three options, I think we will all have a great Saturday night.

The Astonished Man Portland Film Premier Tonight | Clinton St Theater

Another great Saturday event in the PDX. If you like more traditional movies over the “adult film” kind (or both), you have a great option to support local work tonight at Clinton St Theater.

Information from Jason Freeman, Writer/Director:
the astonished man, portland, oregon“The Astonished Man” will be premiering Saturday November 22nd at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, OR.  It starts at 9pm and will cost a measly 3 dollars at the door.  It is a co-production between Polluted Pictures and Dog Hole Pictures.

To keep it simple, it's a film noir about a botched robbery attempt that forces a psychologically unstable participant to look for answers. Trailer here

Belladonna is in Portland (Tigard, really) | Fantasy for Adults "Only"

With all the events of Portland Vodka, PDX Snowboarding action and OPB Music get-downs, you might be asking us…

“Pipeline, what is the most adult event in Portland today/tonight?”

Belladonna at Fantasy for Adults, Tigard-Portland, OregonWell, thanks for asking. We give you Belladonna at Fantasy “for Adults only”. Yes, this Belladonna (wikipedia).

I just spoke with Tricia at Fantasy. She said they would be arriving at their Tigard location at 5PM in a “big pink Cadillac”. From their site:

“Meet the lovely Belladonna at our Tigard location November 22, from 5PM to 9PM.

She will be signing her movies, taking photos, and having a good time and she wants to see you there!”

PDXPipeline has convinced Melissa Lion (she likey pomegranate-alcoholic beverages) of BackfencePDX and Portland Sex talk (“69 is underrated”) fame to go out there and ask Belladonna Read the rest of this entry »
