From Rockbox (myspace):
Rockbox at Holocene, Portland, Oregon

Holocene is proud to announce the second year anniversary of Rockbox. Friday November 21st, marks the two year anniversary of Portland's most consistently fun dance party.

“Everybody, it's a dance party” in many ways is the perfect and most basic descriptor of what they try to accomplish with the night. The number one thing they aim for every third friday is to come correct when they are behind the tables.

As they proceed to look for the perfect beat, no matter the genre, buy disgusting amounts of vinyl, and lug around heavy ass crates, their love for providing a consistent dance party for the masses is contagious. And after two years their enthusiasm is still growing along with the party.

Thank you for supporting Holocene and Rockbox for the last 24 months. We promise to keep making the night crazy and everything you haven't experienced anywhere else in Portland!

The NYC based sketch comedy group the Uncles are retuning to Portland to perform four shows at the Someday Lounge.  The Uncles—Matt Di Loreto, Dave Di Loreto and Joshua Sidis—are all Portland natives who have been performing and living in New York for the last 5 years.  All three Uncles are graduates of Grant High School and loyal Blazer fans; both of which play a role in their show.

This is the second year in a row the Uncles have performed at the Someday Lounge. The Uncles have performed at some of New York City's best comedy venues, such as Caroline's On Broadway, The Triad, The P.I.T. and most notably the Upright Citizens Brigade.
