Oh, the weather outside is frightful. This picture is from 4 days ago. Take a moment of silence now. That gnome is now gone. It might be time to pray like our NW siblings in Seattle.
Mike Vogel has video of the Mad Max conditions that have gripped Sellwood: Cross country skiers, snowshoers, frozen bikes…FROZEN BIKES! Only the mighty Bakfiets seems immune to the destructive power of Snowmageddon.
Brewcaster also has Snowmageddon video complete with apocalyptic music.
Oregonian's meteorologist Dave Sweeney has apparently gone mad with snow fever.

MAX update:. MAX shuttle buses are running every 15-20 minutes.
Max Blue Line: Tracks in the Gresham area are now being cleared with plans to open the last three Gresham stations (between Ruby Junction/E 197th Ave and Cleveland stations) as soon as possible. Meanwhile, shuttle buses are serving the stations.
MAX Red Line: TriMet is adding more shuttle buses between Gateway Transit Center and the airport due to heavy ridership demands.
MAX Yellow Line:Â Yellow Line is being served by buses from Expo Center to Rose Quarter stations every 15-20 minutes.
Buses: Due to unprecedented weather conditions, TriMet is operating reduced service for the remainder of the day. In order to provide the best service possible, we will operate Frequent Service lines and routes operating on major corridors. Check service alerts for updates.
Trip Planner update: TriMet's 503-238-RIDE phone center is extending hours until 6:30 pm to assist riders with trip planning.
TriMet staff is checking canceled routes to ensure riders are not waiting for service. They will assist the rider to get to their destination.
LIFT is providing life-sustaining trips only.
