  • Strip O Rama XVI @ Barfly Bus (a bus tour of PDX's best strip clubs… yes, these do exist in our city)

  • Portland Battle Roller Derby Extravaganza @ Expo Center (girls that can kick the shit out of me proving they can kick the shit out of me)

  • Last Sunday Poetry Slam @ Hawthorne Theater (people and their poems)
  • Kick/Ball/Change @ Someday Lounge (dance performances of new works from new choreographers)
  • 100 Poems by 100 Poets @ Gallery Homeland (people and other people's poems… you don't have to snap at any of them if you don't want to)
  • I Got A Hunch Hip Hop Brunch 2 @ Crown Room (hip hop with your organic bacon and eggs)

Next weekend is going to be even more Massive … if you need some cool events to hold you over until then check the people doing their thing every other Monday at the Aalto and DJ Manhero at Tube or go hear Luke Bergmann talk about his book about Detroit drug dealers at Powells on Hawthorne, Tuesday go peep Cheddar at Crown Room or the Oaks Park Event with Ethan Rose and PICA and Wednesday pick from any of the awesome things going on — Chrome Wings and Guidance Counselor at Holocene, Jazz Report at the Report, the Closet Monsters Party at Hawthorne Theater and the reunion show of Show Me the Pink at Rotture.

But make sure to mark your calendar for Jan. 31st because that ish is gonna be ridiculously massive.
