Last night, we put up ten or so events to do in Portland this Valentine's weekend that we are giving a golden THUMBS UP. Today, Leigh sent over his Portland party email with an amazing amount of events happening in Portland this weekend. To help you sift through them, we have highlighted in red some that are known to be well attended, good times, or look very interesting.

• Dr. Skethcy's Rotten Valentine Party @ Hawthorne Theater (body painting, semi-nude drawing, burlesque dancers, pin up girls … oh me oh my)
• White Fang @ The Artistery (bring the noise, bring the rock)
• Twitter Fest/Twestival at Goodfoot Lounge: A world-wide party and benefit (added by PDXPipeline)
• I've Got A Hole In My Soul @ Rotture (the once a month soul/r&b dance party that gets all the people sweaty)

• Synchronicity Frequency @ Plan B (rock and electro — these two worlds seem to be combining more and more)
• Lady Dottie & the Diamonds @ East End (sweet Delta blues, funk and soul with a little bit of rock — this will be a great show)
• Harold And Maude w/ live music by Solovox and crew @ Hollywood Theater (a campy movie with the soundtrack played live by local musicians)
• Gil Mantera's Party Dream w/ X-otica Go Go @ Dante's (one of the wildest craziest live bands ever, this will absolutely be a unique performance)

• Passion: the Pink and Black Party @ Tonic (promoter told me it's gonna be 'real grown and real sexy.' Part of me thinks I know what this means, the other part is kinda confused)
• 2 Annual Allure Date Auction @ Holocene (20 sexy singles that people will bid on for sexy time? I like it!)
• Jig-A-Lin w/ Hometown Blap Clique @ Crown Room (4 solid dj's doing dancehall, dubstep and future electro — mark these names you'll definitely be hearing from them a lot — Tyler T, Geno Cochino, Behnibubu and Nicoluminous)
• Vagabond Opera and Chervona @ Someday Lounge (a vodka drinking Balkan brass playing party band, an Easter European dance troupe, a kissing booth and fire dancers .. sounds like a regular week night in the Ukraine … I have never been to Ukraine so I am just assuming)
• Sucka Free @ Tiger Bar (two vinyl dj's playing classic hip hop)

• Foundation Project Art show @ Together Gallery (I feel like Bubba Gump saying this .. at this show they got woodblock prints, they got screen prints, they got photo prints, they got …)
• Soul Food w/ Joe Nasty @ Nightlight (soul/funk/hip hop dj)
• Potluck & House Show w/ Autopilot Is For Lovers @ NE 80th & Couch (awesome music and a potluck?? Me likes potlucks)
• Black Hearts Ball @ Ace Cleaners (cocktails, a fashion show, pendulum dancers, DJ Ravi .. this sounds great)

• Cirque L'amour @ Bossanova Ballroom (cocktails, a fashion show, A-WOL dancers, multiple dj's … wait a minute, that sounds like, oh ok, there is a band at this party too, they aren't the same thing … this sounds great also though)
• Valentine's Morning Prom w/ Ana Sia and many others @ 2410 (this will be a party for those wishing to dance till the early hours)
• Kulturezene @ Branx (minimal electro by some of the best tech dj's in the city)
• Very Supersititious GMP Party @ Roadside Attraction (the folks from Guerilla Masquerade bring another costume event to this city, check them out to find out what it is they do)
• Dirty Dozen Brass Band @ Roseland (swamp funk and delta brass, this will be a great show for those attending PDX Jazz Fest)
• That 1 Guy @ Doug Fir (one man funk band plays instruments with each part of his body … yes, even that part)
• Dirty Queer Open Mic Night @ In Other Words (a benefit event to save the independent bookstore)
• Friday the 13th Deadly Sins Dance Party @ Rotture (a pro-choice benefit party featuring fire artists and burlesque dancers)
• 4th Annual Feel the Love Show @ Olympic Mills (over 200 artists work on display)
• Exotic Magazine Party w/ Porn Rock & Evil Twin @ Doc's Club (I am 100% sure that this will be interesting)

Saturday, February 14th

• Atlas @ Holocene (World dance music at it's best and a diverse crowd. I like this party because it proves that Portland is not 100% white … we are just 96 per cent)
• Cover Your Hearts Benefit Party w/ Climber and Tango Alpha Tango @ Someday Lounge (a solid PDX weekend night — good bands, good beer, good atmosphere and a benefit for a good cause — Ethos Music)
• P:ear Benefit Party @ Wonder Ballroom (this line up is fantastic .. Dirty Mittens, Strength, Explode Into Colors and Starfucker .. also check out the kissing booth!)
• Nemo Design Benefit Party @ Nemo (a benefit dance party to raise money for the victim of a horrible drunk driving accident … contact Carey @ Nemo for RSVP info)
• Love is Lovely Benefit Party @ Ace Cleaners (4 dj's playing new and classic dance cuts all night)
• Zoobombers Mini Bike Winter Fest @ various locations around PDX

• Free Vegan Desserts @ Hungry Tiger Too (come and get free ice cream!)
• Kimono Workshop @ Central Library (come and learn about the art of designing, choosing and wearing a kimono)
• Big Lips Contest @ Virginia Café (come in and leave a kiss on a napkin, then get drunk for cheap)
• Live Electro Cabaret @ Pix North (cross dressers, dancing, electro music and chocolate — sounds like the country of Belgium)
• Albino @ Goodfoot Lounge (afro beat!! Great space to hear this band)

• Fleshtone and Fist Fite @ Rotture (glam dance and choreographed band performances — they are fun to watch)

• Black Lodge Ball @ Branx (darkness, bands, dj's, a fire place, cheap drinks … this should have a unique crowd)
• Smooch Knob Zombie Party @ Dante's (go go girls, gross out skits, fire eaters, pole dancers … you get the idea)
• Deep Warriorz + Passion Films @ Tube (one short movie screening about 'passion' and one of PDX's best dj's equals a recipe for sexy happenings)
• Blow Pony's VDay Party @ Eagle (dances, dj's, drinks and men in their underwear)
• 4 Band Lineup @ Twilight (four rock bands — one happens to be a Clash tribute band)
• La Diskoteka @ Dunes (a small but awesome dance party in this awesome but small space)
• Punk'd Dance Party @ Pala (house music without the glow sticks)
• Bondage For Couples Seminar @ The Conservatory (a class on erotic rope play. Say no more!)
