Portland April Events: Music, Art, Protests, Flash Mobs

Portland April 2009 Events from PDX Pipeline

You might notice that we have slowed down a bit the last few days. We are working hard on a new site (and this Portland Jobs site), so not much time to post many announcements.

That being said, there are many great Portland events this first week of April & we wouldn't want to leave you high and dry not knowing what to do the next days.

Also, we are giving away tickets to several shows on Wednesday and Thursday to our Portland Facebook friends and Portland Twitter followers. Follow us/Friend us and win tix.

Beau Breedlove at Fantasy For Adults | April 4

I just got this message from Fantasy For Adults (Only). I was not aware that Mr. Breedlove was on a media tour. Here is your chance to meet the man who makes all the boys, men (many ladies and some political officials) hot.

Update: looks like we'll be there with Melissa Lion to interview/take pics

From Fantasy For Adults:
Beau Breedlove UnzippedBeau Breedlove will be doing an in store signing appearance and signing copies of Unzipped. Unzipped is a gay men's magazine…Playboy for the gay man.

Beau Breedlove: A Man Made for Fantasy
Portland based model, Beau Breedlove, has got what it takes to make it.

If there are any doubts of that left, opening May's issue of Unzipped Magazine will end them. The seven page pictorial reveals Breedlove's range between sexy and sweet, and brings elegance to Unzipped. It's about time someone from Stumptown got some real… exposure.

Fantasy for Adults Only invites you to come meet Beau Breedlove in person Read the rest of this entry »

More Portland April Events here

It's springtime in Portland and that means wabbit flash mob season, or in this case–ads depicting flash mobs. This one appears to be done by Cisco instead of T-MOB. I'm guessing it has to do with their recent half-billion Flip video purchase (I was wrong). They're out of money now to pay extras, but they still got some change in the pockets for coffee & cookies.

From Amber Geiger:

Hi all!

EXTRAS needed for guerrilla dance performance.  It will be similar to the T-Mobile guerrilla dance performance in Liverpool station…but Portland style so not quite as huge ;)

WHAT: Guerrilla dance performance for a Cisco video.

WHY:  We need extras to be in the square when the performance happens. You don't need to know how to dance…just be a bystander.

WHEN: 12noon to 1:30pm, Wednesday April 1.

WHERE: Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland.

WARDROBE: if possible, wear business style clothing.

It doesn't pay but it will be fun to be a part of! Plus there will be coffee and cookies!

Thanks! Please let me know if you can make it.
