Things I am currently jocking….

1) This weekends' activities! For real!! The Roots, Lifesavas, Lyrics Born, Soul Nite, Mark Farina at the 2410 Celebration Party (word on the street is there is also a guest by the name of Questlove, or Cali 2na, or Spinderella… well, there are a lot of guesses but I was told Mark Farina is playing two sets — one at the headliner spot and an early morning sunrise set that is the release of his new Mushroom Jazz project!), Filastine, Starkey, the Kulturszene Anniversary Party, the 15th Annual Beer & Wine Festival and so so so much more!

2) The sunshine we just had and will hopefully be having again soon. This city is a different place when it's sunny. I love it.

• Zion I, Illmaculate, Tope, Cool Nutz @ a venue that has recently screwed over some local promoters and parted ways with their booker (still a great lineup with Zion I and quality local acts – definitely a good show to go see if you want some live hip hop)
• Soul Nite @ Rotture (get your dancing shoes and tight pants on, one of the best monthly parties there is)
• Flavor @ Agency (hip hop, funk, soul, dance jams)
• Thermals and Explode Into Colors @ Wonder Ballroom (indie rock wet dream)
• Kim McKenna art show @ Beppu Wiarda Gallery (art art art)
• White Party @ Casa Colima (maybe Diddy will show up! I heard he loves these types of parties!)
• Interesting Portland talks @ Norse Hall (slide show lecture and donut eating contest!)

• Lyrics Born, Lifesavas, DJ Wicked @ Wonder Ballroom (I can guarantee that this will be an amazing show)
• The Roots, Pac Division, Gen.Erik @ Roseland (having been lucky enough to see The Roots multiple times I can guarantee that this will be an amazing show)
• The Roots Afterparty @ Someday Lounge (I can't imagine Questlove being able to dj at this for that long but certainly the crowd will migrate this way)
