Ladytron and The Faint North American Co-Headline Tour 2009
Currently touring with The Faint as part of the
North American Co-Headline Tour, having opened for Nine Inch Nails at the request of Trent Reznor in 2007, and joining with Depeche Mode for some shows this May, Ladytron have established themselves as one of the top pop/electronic/rock bands that you absolutely must see live if given the opportunity.
Their newest album, Velocifero, is undeniably the most dancable to date; "Black Cat" sets the tone for the album with a rhythmic drum and bass beat that you cannot help but move along with and vocalist Mira Aroyo adds a mysterious element to the song by singing her native language of Bulgarian. The album continues with pop/electro beats that are distinct to Ladytron — sometimes spooky/goth-inspired and ethereal, but also energetic and poppy.
