(Click here for info on the BEST Portland Restaurants, Bars, Food, Drinks &Â More)
We are near the end of Portland Food week
on the Pipeline (there will be a another in June). So far we have found the top Portland Thai restaurants & Indian food. Food Carts & breakfasts are coming shortly.
On Thursday, we tackled a subject that East Coasters and Chicagoans often complain about when they move or visit here–our supposed inferior pizza. So, we once again asked the Portland Twitter community and some facebook friends their thoughts.
There are a lot of replies below, but the winners appear to be (did not count, so I might be a bit off): Apizza Scholls, Ken's Artisan, Escape From New York, Vicente's and the much loved Flying Pie.
Wonder what City Commissioner Randy Leonard thinks in the best pizza in Portland? Read our Pulitzer prize winning interview with him here Commissioner Randy Leonard OMFG!!! | The Definitive Interview

also Vicente’s, blind onion gets a nod. escape from ny, and as chains go pizzacato, i cant complain
Blind Onion. Awesome crust. Funky atmosphere. Spicy sausage. A great BBQ chicken too.
Totally forgot about the Give Pizza A Chance cart too! And you can’t beat their lunch specials w/homemade sodas like Ginger Beer!
how did i miss this on twitter?
my favourites are ken’s artisan (for classic & creative pies done right), dove vivi (for all-original deliciousness – if you’ve never had cornmeal-crust pizza, you MUST try it), and one that hasn’t been mentioned here yet: the mouthwateringly-good personal pies at eugenio’s cafe on 36th & se division.
Escape From New York, hands up!
if you are out in Hillsboro or Forest Grove, check out Little Italy.
Give Pizza a Chance downtown food cart for normal pizza.
Picazzo’s in Sellwood for gluten free pizza.
