June Naked Insanity: Bike Rides & Runs
Mark your calendar, get your bike in good shape, and make sure 
your seat is comfy. The 6th annual World Naked Bike Ride is coming up on the 13th of June, 2009. Every year, people across the globe gather together in their respective cities to ride naked. The reason? To protest oil dependencies and demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on the road, as well as, well, just to be naked. Last year attendance was estimated at over 2000 naked Portlanders. For an idea of how last year's event went, as well as pictures, check Jonathan Maus' article.
As if the original WNBR wasn't enough naked fun for you, there's the WNBR Sunny Nekkid Ride, on June 13th, as well as the Fig Leif Naked 5k Run and 10k Off-Road Naked Bike Ride on June 13th. For those that can't make it or want to see what it's all about beforehand, the Fig Leif Naked 5k Run will have an “undress rehearsal” on June 6th.
Update from the Whiffies fried pie cart on SE Hawthorne & 12 (twitter account): I'm giving 50 free pies to the first 50 nude cyclists and Potato Champion is giving 50 free small cones. Must have a bike and be with the ride.
