Christopher Guest’s Waiting for Guffman clip: “The Auditions”
As you might know, I am big fan of the Shanrocks Trivia. Her weekly nights are always good and occasionally she/they have one of the extra special events. The last one was Arrested Development Trivia and this Saturday is Christopher Guest Trivia. Plus you can win prizes like an “Aerosmith-themed trophy!” Good stuff indeed.

Hello, Portland! If you enjoy the work of Christopher Guest, you’re probably familiar with the loudest band in England, a troop of starry-eyed actors from Blaine, and folk music producer Irving Steinbloom’s untimely death . . . or maybe you just have a god-like love of terriers. This trivia quiz will challenge your knowledge of Guest’s mockumentaries:
This Is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, and Best in Show. I can quiz or not quiz for hours, and still find something to not quiz about, but Corky St. Clair must be shared with the world!
Questions will include a few rounds that fans of these four films WILL know the answers to, as opposed to the timeless unanswerable queries of cinema (“Who were the Druids and what were they doing?” & “Hey, wha’ happen’?!”). Also, an audio clip round (all in Doubly, of course) will challenge you to identify songs and artists from the films. Costumes are encouraged.
