Portland Polish Festival Schedule & Info: September 27

This is one of Portland's best ethnic fests and if you missed day one of the Polish festival, you still have a chance on Sunday to see what it is all about. Beer, Sausage, Polka…yep, has it all

From Polish Festival:

Portland Polish Festival The Polish festival is an event for families and singles, adults and children, for food connoisseurs, music lovers, concert goers, dance enthusiasts, … It is for everyone. During the festival, we provide non-stop stage performances, including a few dance groups and music bands, polka contest on Saturday and Sunday, a street dance, delicious Polish food and imported Polish beer.

The event is held on Failing Street between the two historic buildings of the Polish Library built in 1911 and St. Stanislaus Church built in 1907, both located on N. Interstate Avenue in Portland Oregon.

Dance Groups:
Polonez - a folk dance group from Vancouver, Canada presents dance program reflecting the finest Polish spirit.
Sobótka – an adult and youth folk dance group of the Polish Community in Portland. The dances are choreographed by L. Nosow
Polish School – children from the Saturday Polish School in Portland.
ALD – Agnieszka Laska Dancers – a modern dance group.
Bands and musicians:
Oregon Polka Beats – the best polka band in Oregon. It embodies all the joy, charm, and excitement of polka music.

Special stage events:
Polka Contest – the only polka contest in Oregon includes a polka contest for children and adults on both Saturday and Sunday.
Festival Dedication – a dedication on the stage, followed by a Polonaise, an elegant Renaissance court dance.

Street Dance – street dancing will be actually on the Kaiser parking lot, in front of the stage
