Portland Theater: Win Tickets to Sondheim's COMPANY

Our partners at Jane a theater company are giving away another pair of tickets. To win, just comment on this post on why you'd like to attend. I will draw a winner on Monday. You can also read Pipeline Posse member Tiffany Garner's review of the show here.

From Jane a theater company:
Company @ Jane, Portland JANE a theater company is proud to announce that its packed out opening night benefit show for the Oregon Food Bank yielded a whopping 433 lbs of food. Cool!

The fundraiser is past, but you can still see what brought all the crowds out to see this local production of Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking, Tony award-winning musical COMPANY.

The Oregonian calls it "Lush," "Delicious" and "Recommended". You will too.

COMPANY is showing now through Nov. 8 at the Delores Winningstad Theatre in the Portland Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA; 1111 SW Broadway/503.248.4335). A classic comedy all about love, dating and marriage, COMPANY follows the exploits of Bobby, a turning-35-year-old bachelor who has been unable — or more to the point, unwilling — to walk down the aisle.

I would love to see this show! I’ve been tight on cash but really wanting to experience portland theatre, and as a single girl always fighting the dating world, I think this would be a great show to see!

  3.   Kaede Says:

I’d love to see anything the Oregonian dares to call “lush” and “delicious!” No really, I would just love to be able to go out with my fiance and relax after finally finishing 9 months of construction on our house.

We have hot water and the internet. And a greater appreciation for what it’s like to be without.

    :)

  11.   Matt Folsom Says:

I have been a huge Sondheim fan most of my life…esp some of his weirder, more esoteric stuff…like Merrily We Roll Along…unfortunately, I grew up in Salt Lake City…where Sondheim is threatening to the dominant culture there…esp something as sophisticated and sassy as Company…so I have seen very few of his shows in real life. I have been forced to listen to the CDs and use my imagination in staging each of his productions. I would like some tickets to see if this production competes with my imagination! :)

  12.   Alexis Says:

  14.   Rachel Says:

I love Sondheim, and was a theater major, but now that I’m a trial attorney (public defender) I almost never get out to see shows anymore. Sondheim is one of the best for musical theater!

  15.   Jason Castro Says:

  19.   Cynthia Says:

I’m in a finance-created hiatus from theatre, music and dance productions for the next 2 years as I work my way though an initial license and Master of Arts in Teaching program at Marylhurst, University. No small feat after being out of school for over 30 years! My goal is to become an elementary teacher focusing on the literary arts so that I can instill a love of the written and spoken (and, yes, dramatized and sung) word into the lives and hearts of my future students. I would appreciate a cultural respite from my studies – and a reminder of the great joy I hope to bring to those students whose lives I touch with the magic of theatre. Thank you!

  20.   Mia Says:

I would love to see Company. Ive always been a fan of anything theater and go to anything and everything free. I’m a college student and don’t have an income that allows me to see all that i want. So this would be so awesome. Thanks
