Atomic Arts Presents “Nosferatu” | Friday/Saturday Nights Through November 21

Posted by Kimberly Gehl

Atomic Arts, the stage company name that many of you will recognize from attending nosferatu postcardTrek in the Park this past summer is back with an original stage production of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 film Nosferatu!

I attended Nosferatu this past weekend and was impressed and delighted by Atomic Arts’ adaptation of Murnau’s suspenseful story about the vampire mythos.  Though the production is not silent (or black and white, for that matter) the production is true to the spirit of the film and their original script is believable and genuine.

In addition to a great script, the cast is full of Trek in the Park favorites (with a role featuring Bobby “Fatboy” Roberts!) and features a haunting original score by Fast Computers played live on the organ during the performance!

This is a production unlike any other you will ever see! With only 4 more showings and limited seating (only 37 seats a night), you should reserve your tickets asap. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling the lovely Clara Hillier at the box office at (503) 927-5699.

Upcoming shows run Friday and Saturday nights through November 21st at the home of the Nosferatu-and-HunterNorthwest Classical Theatre Company, the intimate Shoe Box Theatre, located at 2110 SE 10th (between Lincoln and Grant). The performance starts promptly at 10 PM and runs 70 minutes with no intermission.
