BUST: Starring Lauren Weedman
A semi-autobiographical one-woman show by Los Angeles comedian and actress Lauren Weedman.

Lauren Weedman made her television debut on THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART in 2001, as a Featured Correspondent. At the same time, Weedman was a regular on the NPR political satire show REWIND.

In 2002, Weedman's Off-Broadway show HOMECOMING earned her the honor of being published in Women Playwrights: The Best Plays of 2002. Two more shows written by Weedman (RASH and WRECKAGE) soon followed, both finding critical and audience praise. BUST has been voted Best of the Arts by The Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly and Boise Weekly as well as landing her on the cover of the LA Weekly's Comedy Issue.

BUST is a semi-autobiographical story, based on Weedman's time as a volunteer in a California women's prison. Portraying each character she comes across, Weedman takes the audience on a brilliantly funny and poignant tour from behind bars to the lights of Hollywood.

Weedman recently shot a pilot with Director Larry Charles (executive producer, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM; writer/producer ENTOURAGE), and will soon be seen in the new Tina Fey and Steve Carell comedy DATE NIGHT. She is currently shooting five new episodes of the HBO hit HUNG as her character, Horny Patty.

Other than an appearance on Live Wire!, this will be Weedman's premiere in Portland!
