To win, comment below on this post why you would like to attend, who is your favorite team, etc. IMPORTANT: include which night you want to go or you cannot win. Will draw winners on Friday.
Reminder: We give out free tickets to our Portland Facebook Group including to many of the top music and art venues in Portland. Join it if you like free stuff. Not on Facebook? Join our email list and win there.

This is roller derby up close and personal! The ice cold Heartless Heathers will face off against the head-bangin' GunsNRollers at the Hangar at Oaks Park.
The stakes are high in this all-or-nothing bout with the winner going to the Championship! Â This 2010 season has been filled with all the hard-hitting roller derby action fans have come to expect from Portland's toughest athletes. Most home league games are played at the Hangar at Oaks Park, where RCR fans enjoy in-your-face skating!
Parking will be free for this event! Please note, sitting alongside the track puts you within feet of the action and places you at higher risk of involvement in a skater collision. Arrive early enough to make seating arrangements you are comfortable with.
Tickets are $14.00 for General Admission. Doors open at 7pm, bout starts at 8pm.

The Heartless Heathers are my favorite team for one reason: Smack Ya Sideways, #140mph. She’s a big, tough, dyke badass whos got speed AND power, &I just love her to bits. And I’m a straight girl!!
Smack Ya Sideways is the reason I got into Roller Derby, &while I’ve had my tickets for both bouts for a few weeks, [b]I want to win tickets to bring my two skeptical guy friends to the Saturday bout[/b], while they’re in town. It’s my not-so-secret plan to convert them!

The Fresh Meat Program and the Wreckers are in my very near future and I would sooooo love to watch the bout on Friday. I want to watch the girls in action so I am exposed to my competition and/or future team.

Well, I’m from Madison, WI and I’m flying out to Portland tomorrow morning with my brother, cousin and his wife to go to The Goonies 25th year anniversary. We’re staying in Portland tomorrow night and heading to Astoria Saturday morning. I was looking online for something to do while we’re there and this looked like a match made in heaven (I saw ‘free beer’). Hook yerboi up! See you Friday!

Saturday June 5th baby! It’s our oldest son’s bday and we want to see the Break Neck Betties win that sucker!!! We’ll cheer the hardest, laugh the loudest, and remember the rockin’ event no matter who wins (though the Betties will, of course).
Our eight-year-old and two-year-old sons slid around on imaginary skates for WEEKS after we saw a roller derby match a few months ago. They still beg to see YouTube videos of derby girls going head to head ‘just one more time’. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to get back because it can be quite costly for all of us to go.
