Five bucks for all the chili you can taste plus complimentary beer and wine = perfect Thursday. And yes, there will be veggie and vegan chili. After you fill up, you can enjoy many First Thursday shows as well.

Coming up on First Thursday June 3rd, the IPRC is pleased to host our first annual Chili Cook Off and Olde Time Auction. Just $5 gets you all the chili you can taste! For those who step up to the chili-cooking challenge, prizes will be awarded by celebrity chef judges Piper Davis (Grand Central Baking), Leather Storrs (Noble Rot), and Kevin Atchley (Pine State Biscuits). We'll also have a People's Choice award decided by you, the people. Did we mention complimentary beer and wine? Yes, free beer and wine!

During and after the tasting, we'll have a silent auction, where you can bid on the naming rights for just about anything in the IPRC that isn't tied down—chairs, computers, staplers, even our new Perfect Binding machine. Come place your bids, grab a label-maker and put your permanent mark on the IPRC! We'll also have some inexpensive zines and artwork up for auction, including a full-sized Yeti Quilt!

If you bring chili for the contest, please rsvp with Dawn Andreas at dawnandreas@gmail.com. You'll need to bring your own crock pot or heating plate and a serving utensil.  Judging categories include Best Vegan, Best Veggie, Best Meat, Best In Show, Hottest and People's Choice.
