The 2010 Portland Pride kicks off this weekend and as you can see from these pictures, it’s a fun party. Unlike the Rose parade, I don’t see a local TV station putting this one up (NSFlocalTV?) anytime soon, so you’ll need to go down there to check it out. It is well worth it.
The Portland Gay Pride Waterfront Festival will take place this weekend (June 19 & 20) at Tom McCall park starting at noon. The featured performers this year include Abigail, Amber, Angie Evans, Blake Lewis, The Cliks, God-des & She, Hunter Valentine, Ivan E. Coyote, and Yehonathan. Portland Pride Parade new route map, info, and more pictures after the break…
The Portland Pride Parade begins at 11:30 am, on Sunday (June 20) and has a new route this year. The Pride parade is also carbon-neutral for the 3rd time this year due to a partnership with PGE (parade pic below). Click map above for larger version of route map.
- Step off at Burnside & NW 13th @ 11:30am.
- Continue east on Burnside to NW Broadway.
- Turn left on NW Broadway to NW Davis.
- Turn right on NW Davis to Naito Parkway.
- Turn right onto Naito Parkway to SW Pine.
- The parade will disband on Naito Parkway at the Pine St. entrance of Waterfront Park.
