Our friends Chris Haberman and Jason Brown (Po Boy, Goodfoot Curator) have teamed up to start bringing shows to the Po Boy studio on SE Stark. If you live in or visit the area, you've probably seen the space from the outside and wondered about it.

I believe last month was the first time they used if for an opening. It was unofficial and a soft opening, yet still a good turnout. I know one thing about tonight–even this weather can't stop this from being a party. The prices are great (perfect for presents!). Everything is framed. It's cash and carry. Oh…and there are 88 artists involved, so that means likely 88 artists and their hundreds of friends will show up tonight. Nothing much better than that.

Also, Haberman sent me a different pic about an hour ago and there is a LOT more art than this below appears to have.

There will be 100+ artists.
Opens July 2. from 5-10.
Everything in the show is framed
Everything in the show will be $50.
This is a cash and carry show. Pull it right off the wall and take it home that night.

Po Boy History
Po' Boy Art Gallery and Framing is now doing art show's every first fri of the month.  Jason Brown has owned Po Boy Art as a frame shop for many years, but recently he decided to join the First Friday artwalk in Portland and convert his cozy warehouse space into a monthly art venue.  With the help and partnership of fellow artist and curator, Chris Haberman, the duo will run events in this space.  Brown is known distinctly for his tenure as curator of The Goodfoot Gallery (also in SE Stark) which holds monthly art events for nearly a decade.  This Grand Opening event is sure to draw a large crowd from the art community and the Brown/Haberman team are pretty dang happy to be working together.
