We’ve been to every one of these since it started, our kids (8 & 5) have never missed one either. This is such a fun event, a great place to sample some amazing beers, friendly people, and even enjoyable for our kids! Last year we got some friends to join us for the first time and they can’t wait to come back again! Several years ago our family started a tradition, we all wear tie-die shirts. Silly, but fun! This is the highlight of our summer! Winning these would just be so fantastic!! :)

I just moved to Portland from So Cal with my husband (a home brewer) it’d be nice treat to save the expense after all of our moving expenses. I love the Brewers festival and, after years of utzing, my friend is finally taking her vacation in Portland to come to the Brewers fest! I love this event, have been going for years, and love to show the true spirit of Portland to my friends from out of town. I am unemployed and will definitely find a way to get there, but this would definitely help. Keep Portland Beered!

Please Oh Please Pick Me! What a year it has been and I always go to OBF…been going for many years. This year almost had to be eliminated due to cut backs at work and well, as everyone else, hard times.
Me LOVES me some good craft beer! I will be going anyway, but on a limited budget…this would SO make my year if I got to drink all that I wanted without any worry.
I’m taking public transport…so no worries about the drinking and driving! And I wanted to go on Friday…so if I win I’ll be cashing in my winnings right away and I will spread the Awesome Word of PDX Pipeline!

After being out of state for the past couple of years, I can’t tell you how excited I am to attend this year’s festival! I have friends coming in from Wichita KS and Phoenix AZ who desperately need to learn what craft beer is all about. (adding the word “ice” or taking off the word “light” does not make it a craft beer)
After spending most of my budget on all the other fun beer events throughout the month (best month ever!), meeting great people, great brewers, drinking great beer the extra help would be great! Good luck to everyone that’s entered. Whoever wins is going to have a great time!

I’m a student at OSU in the Food Science and Technology Department where students can actually “major in Beer” (Fermentation Science). I’m a poor college student and taking summer classes. Winning this prize will help give me a great reason to take a study break!

The reason I would like to win $50 to the brewers fest is because 2010 has not been a good year and I could use a turn in my luck. My aunt was just given 1-4 months to live, I got rear-ended a few weeks ago with over $7000 in damage to my car, yesterday I tried to break-up with my boyfriend of 4 years, I am recovering from knee surgery, and I found out I am allergic to Latex. I need something good and what better then beer, free, riverfront, and friends.

My girlfriend and I are planning to start an oregon brewery guide for younger beer advocates. Plans are just in the beginning stages, but we plan to experience as many local beers as possible and increase the interest. She’s volunteering for the event and it would be great if we could experience these the various handcrafted beers together. Keep Portland Beered!

I have been excited for this beer fest since last year when I was in town but unable to attend. I have never been to this wonderful craft brew fest and was greatly looking forward to it this year. Craft beer is delicious and something I am really excited about. Some of my favorite breweries that I dont ever get to taste on tap are going to be there including 21st amendment and Anderson Valley as well as many local beers and others I haven’t tried. However, after moving back to the Pacific Northwest to be with my family during some difficult circumstances, I have been unemployed for NINE MONTHS and am about to dish out a lot of money for out of state tuition in a Social Work program. Lately, my beer drinking has been in Laurelhurst park and during happy hours. Needless to say, I can’t dish out the dough to go to this beer fest and would love the tokens and package so that I can go with a friend who is actually coming into town for this specific event.

I would absolutely love the chance to win this package…my boyfriend and I just moved to Portland (although I was raised here, I was away at school and recently graduated). My boyfriend had been here with me a few times before the move, but this is really his first experience getting to know Portland on a much deeper level than simply vacationing. I went to Brew Festival one time. They kicked me out after I was only there for an hour, because “some blond girl with tattoos was very drunk and had been causing trouble.” I was not this girl, but they could not be dissuaded.

I should be the receiver of the $50 package to beerfest because of a very serious condition I have. I have an extremely rare form of immune deficiency that only subsides when I consume a multitude of different Oregon craft beers in the same day. This has been an expensive and exhaustive treatment and a trip to Beerfest would be a nice change that would allow a jump in my quality of life. Thank you.

So I found somebody to cover my shift early. I’m leaving Seattle at 6am driving to Olympia and meeting some friends at the train station. Hopping aboard the Amtrak and PDX bound we will go. Our final destination is the Oregon Brewers Festival. Winning the $50 package will help us spend the weekend there drinking some great beer listen to some great music and meet some great friends. I need this prize, with this heat my 2 month old daughter and kitten will not be able to sleep………..

My 21st birthday is on Sunday, the last day of the brewer’s festival. As someone who has covertly loved beer for the last several years, I can’t wait to get to the brewers fest and become a “legit” beer fan! I’m so excited, in fact, that I’ve organized my birthday party so we spend the whole afternoon at the brew fest and this prize package would be a great way to celebrate the day!
