I need a good laugh right now! I have been unemployed for over a year and need to cheer up!

  2. Nancy July 26, 2010 at 13:54 #

Awesome to see this comedy club opening! I love supporting my hometown of PDX and going to the opening of the club would be Tight!

  3. Colleen Cole July 26, 2010 at 14:04 #

… because there’s nothing better than spending an evening with a comedian who can bring out my inner cackle! (Saturday night preferred) :)

  4. Carrot Top July 26, 2010 at 14:20 #

As president of the CARROT TOP fan club. I demand free tickets to see the competition and rate them based on hair color, amount of props and body mass.

    cheers, ptr.

  5. Kat July 26, 2010 at 15:11 #

……because laughter is good for the soul. =)

  6. Cynthia Liz Lopez July 26, 2010 at 16:00 #

I NEED TICKETS! My boyfriend and I are poor and would love a date night that didn’t include hot dogs and redbox!

Either night preferred! If it’s free I am NOT picky!

  7. Jackie July 26, 2010 at 17:49 #

    “Need a Laugh™”

Indeed I do, any night would be fantastic!

I would love to have tickets to Saturdays show….boy it would cheer me up. It’s been a tough year and I could use a laugh. First I had the roids and that lasted the first couple of months of the year. I could only sit for a few minutes at a time. Then came the lack of erection….okay I will admit I only got one while thinking about Thai ladyboys. I am sure if that is wrong or not.
Then the diarrhea started, I think that was because I was so poor that I switched to PBR and it just acted as a laxative.

But mostly the year has revolved my ass and I could use a good laugh to get my mind off my behind.

I need these tickets to negate the terrible experience my bestie and I had at what has been the only comedy club in town for the last 10 years I’ve lived here.

Luckily, the tickets are free, but you have to buy two items each and then suffer through bad food, weak drinks and overworked, rude waitstaff.

Oh and did I mention the headliners weren’t really that funny…hiss! boo!

I’d love to try out this new place and I hope against hope that they are heads and tails above what has been the only game in town.

  11. Anna July 27, 2010 at 14:31 #

Woo hoo! I won! Can’t wait to check this place out!

  12. Jerry Ketel July 27, 2010 at 16:17 #

Oh, man! Give it to Anna. I can’t beat that.

I’ll just go back to frying ants with a magnifying glass.

  14. Michael July 27, 2010 at 18:36 #

  16. Jessica Legg July 28, 2010 at 09:59 #

I have a very important reason that I need to go, but its coded Class 4 confidential and I’ve been instructed not to share more information than that with the civilian population–other than to say that it’s urgent that I be there Saturday night.

You could take the risk of not giving me the tickets, but why?

  17. Carl July 29, 2010 at 00:52 #

comedy tickets needed stat! if we dont get some funny business into him hes going critical. Get the paddles.. ooh wait that is for later in the evening…

  24. Benjamin July 29, 2010 at 13:55 #

I would like to go because once you go to Harvey’s, they suck you in by calling you every day for the rest of your life trying to get you to come back with free tickets, yet charge you $10 for a show (MINIMUM DRINK PURCHASE). Lame.

  25. Laura July 29, 2010 at 14:05 #

    Bring on the laughs!

  26. mark holan July 29, 2010 at 14:37 #

I need a good laugh this weekend as the month of July has been a train wreck for me. It would be a perfect way to end this month and begin a better August and belly laughs are just what the doctor ordered. Thanks

  27. Claire July 29, 2010 at 15:19 #

I’ve been waiting for this! I love stand up!

  28. Diana Griffith July 29, 2010 at 15:19 #

Helium is EXACTLY what Portland needs. We are a cerebral city with a wicked sense of humor. We are voracious readers and need the written word and spoken comedy. I would love tickets to a Saturday show.

  29. dana r. July 29, 2010 at 15:20 #

hi there. would like to see Maria Bamford, does not matter which night. wanna go cause she is hilarious.!

  30. christel42 July 29, 2010 at 15:31 #

I can’t wait to come down for a show! Portland is in dire need for a new comedy club, and one in SE to boot! Hell, I could stumble home from there! My other half worked at Harvey’s for 5 years, and he would love it if I could surprise him! Honestly, I would go any night if you wanted to give me tickets! Thank you, and I am primed for a good time!

  31. Jenny July 29, 2010 at 15:31 #

Hi there. My birthday is Friday, July 30…I am going to be 44. I am thinking turning 44 needs some laughter vs. bawling, don’t you? I thought so…the Friday show would be the perfect solution. Thank you!

  32. Suzanne July 29, 2010 at 15:41 #

What better way to spend an evening than to be used as a tool for a comic??? I’ve only been to one comic and must say it was funny. I hope this guy picks people out of the crowd and uses them for our comedy pleasure. Would love to have tickets to find out. Thank you.

  33. Sharissa July 29, 2010 at 15:42 #

I need some dedicated laugh time!

  34. Tina July 29, 2010 at 15:44 #

  36. Josh C. July 29, 2010 at 15:48 #

I’ve seen the Harvey’s show, which has its shortcomings (mainly the venue), so it’s now time for a little comparison and competition! I’d love to attend Saturday night too. Hint Hint.

  37. Angel July 29, 2010 at 16:01 #

My doctor says I should laugh more because it’s good for my health. Can you help me out? :)

I’m always extolling the experience of going to a good comedy club, yet I have found Portland lacking. I’ve been anticipating this opening for MONTHS and I live down the street… MATCH MADE IN HILLARIOUS HEAVEN
(Friday, I suppose, though I’d love tickets for either night)

  67. Naida Potata July 29, 2010 at 18:30 #

I am excited about having a Comedy club on the east side of Portland. We enjoy comedy too! And a NATIVE Portland comedian? Maybe there would be some ORIGINAL jokes about the Portland rain, instead of the same old ones we keep hearing over and over again.
Even if I don’t get free tickets, I WILL BE THERE!
