  9.   nicole Says:

I’ve never heard of this event, but it sounds great. I generally don’t think of pairing fish courses with beer, and I would love to give it a try.

  10.   emma Says:

I would like to go because in the recession, I never get to experience a nice date with my beau…and this sounds perfect!!

  11.   Jennifer Says:

First off I LOVE East Burn! The trinity fries are amazingly yummy. Secondly, our 20th wedding anniversary is the 17th so this would be the perfect way to celebrate. Beer & the best food!!

  12.   AC Says:

I love food and beer. And most importantly, I love East Burn.

  20.   Gigi Says:

I’d love to go because I actually went to East Burn last Friday night, but sadly had to leave after 5 minutes because my friends didn’t think it was “nice enough”. Help me prove them wrong!

  21.   Ryan Herron Says:

I’d love to go, bring the SO, walk there (we live so close!), stumble home, sounds perfect.

  22.   Tracy Blodgett Says:

Because I suck at cooking, however I am exceptionally good at eating, drinking, and spreading merriment! The East Burn Beer Belly Dinner is a perfect opportunity to do what I do best!

  23.   Erin Says:

This sounds so amazing and yummy. I am a fairly small layhday (that’s “lady”) but I can pack away the food with shocking dexterity and ease. My boyfriend has nicknamed me “girl with 1000 stomachs.” I promise this will not be wasted on me. Plus East Burn rules. Hard.

  24.   Molly Says:

This is my boyfriend’s birthday! It would be such a treat to surprise him with this (unless he’s reading this now…oh well!). Thanks PDX Pipeline!

  25.   Mal Says:

I should win because I’m trying to learn more about beer and food pairing and would love to see what the chefs @ East Burn can do!

  26.   Kevin Haffner Says:

As a current grad student with no money and a beautiful wife who stays at home with our nearly one-year-old son, I would love to be able to surprise her with this for what will be our 7th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10th. She loves beer and seafood (as do I) and we’ve been wanting to check out East Burn for a while. Help a poor grad student give the love of his life an anniversary dinner to remember!

  27.   Lacey Ferrero Says:

I would love to take my amazing husband who works 12 hour shifts to support the family and still manages to help me care for my invalid mother, who lives with us. He also loves Oregon beer!

  28.   Janine Says:

So when I met my lady she didn’t like fish. And I was a vegetarian except for I was starting to eat fish again. But we both liked beer. While the beer brought us together (along with some folk songs around a camp fire) we have grown up and together and find we both like pretty much any food as long as it is from a good source. She actually loves seafood now. We skipped out anniversary this year to save some money while she is looking for work so a foodie night out would be much appreciated!

  29.   sarah Says:

    YES PLEASE!

  30.   BJ Says:

I’ve never been to one of these dinners and would like to try it out. Not to mention Seafood is my favorite food, and this seems to be a largely seafood dinner this time. But beer paired with food how can you go wrong?

  31.   Logan Says:

I would love to go because halibut cheeks with chickpeas sounds amazing delicious. I also plan on eating food that day and East Burn providing food would work out gracefully.

  32.   Sean Piersol Says:

I want to go because: 1) I love good beer 2) I love good food 3) I love East Burn

    Pick me :)

  33.   Dave Says:

I’d like to attend because I’m too broke to ever experience a 5 course meal, and I love seafood! Please and thanks!

  34.   Carly Says:

I love beer and food too! Can I go?

  35.   Satida Says:

I haven’t been back to East Burn in over a year, and who doesn’t like beer???

  36.   Roddy Jasa Says:

They say 1 in 8 Americans go hungry every day. I was sitting here next to 7 of my friends and they all have dinner plans Friday. I don’t.

  37.   Jesse Says:

This would be truly an amazing break! I just moved back up to Portland from the SF Bay area. It’s like rediscovering my home all over again and all the great brews this area has to offer. I would never be able to afford something like this on my own, and would love to try some great food, and a new brewery I have yet to taste.

  38.   Shannon Says:

I am a big EastBurn fan but can only make in on Tuesday’s for the $2 micros. As a full-time AmeriCorps volunteer, I can never afford to take advantage of the great dining opportunities this city has to offer. I would love to take my partner out for a tasty meal.

  39.   J. Morgan Says:

I should win because I could walk home from there — no residual liability for you guys! (And it would be fun.)

  40.   Jesse Says:

On top of that, rideOn is a great and much needed service

  41.   Drew Says:

Best buddy who lives in Austin, TX is in town and (insanely) claims that Austin has better beer and food than Portland (one of his claims: “Portland’s food is famous only because it comes from carts.” Sickening). This would prove him wrong once and for all.

  42.   Nathan Says:

It’s been a while since my girlfriend and I gvw gone out on a real date, and this would probably make her cry.

  43.   free Says:

because nothing goes better with beer than food… and vice versa.

  44.   Benjamin Says:

I just saw 2 blacks cats…and crossed their path. That’s gotta mean something, right?

  45.   Brian Says:

As a nano-brewer in training I am so excited to see Vertigo getting a crack at the Beer Belly Dinner at East Burn. Score one for the little guys. I’ve only had one of Vertigo’s offerings so to be able to have 5 and have them all paired with East Burns great cooking….se magnifique

Oh…and….PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME.

  46.   Eric Says:

cause i have a beer belly, why else?

  47.   christine Says:

I would love to take my birthday twin, who is a chef, out for a night where he isn’t asked to cook and feed everyone ;p

  48.   Laura Says:

This sounds like an amazing event that I would love to experience!

  49.   Summer W Says:

I would love to go to this! I love beer and I love food… what’s better than that? I would also love to share in this with my husband who is even a bigger fan of beer and food than I! :)

  50.   matt Says:

I owe my wife BIG TIME, this would be a good way to re-pay her back!!! thank you!!!

  51.   tom guier Says:

I LOVE East Burn…….I have heard of the Beer Belly event before and have never been in town to go!!!! This year I am able!!!!!

  52.   Genevieve Says:

Tickets for this would be great! My new husband and I haven’t been able to go on a honeymoon because of money being tight. This would be a great way to feel like we’re on vacation without having to leave Portland! Thanks for offering these.

  53.   Claire Says:

Eating and drinking is what I do best. The menu sounds delish! Please let me look forward to this event!

  54.   Holly Says:

This would be the perfect ending to week of job and apartment search. Great dinner and great times with the love of my life.

  55.   Sherry Says:

I want to win because my honey loves beer, and we both love food! We love Portland too! :)

  56.   Minna Says:

Love food, love beer, but have trouble pairing the two (usually I just drink beer on an empty stomach).

Maybe I could learn a thing or two about a thing or two!

  57.   Julie Says:

I have been looking for work since a layoff in January. My boyfriend and I would love to go on an actual “date night” date, and we worship good beer, food and patios. This would be so wonderful!!

  58.   Mike Says:

I want to go because that salmon looks freaking amazing, and I’d never be able to afford this on my own.

  59.   Erin Says:

    Because I love to eat!

  60.   Allen Says:

I’ve always wanted to try one of these, but was too shy because of the price. It would be amazing if I could experience the dinner.

  61.   Axel Says:

East Burn is the place to be, sunny and warm with cold craft beer all around. I have yet to make beer belly dinner but I am a true beer geek.

  62.   Laura Says:

I bliss out on beer & food pairings, have never been to East Burn and would LOVE to win this, as the combos sound like a perfect summer evening!!!

  63.   April Says:

Beer in my belly and dinner on top of that. Sounds like a party to me. This place is one of my favs and has both delicous beer and food. Pick me, pick me!!! :) I’d love to be the winner winner chicken dinner. I would definitely treat my loving boyfriend.

  64.   jade Says:

I want to go because I just drooled on myself reading that menu.

  65.   Hope Says:

Hello..this sounds delicious and very fun!

Maybe I can finally get laid this summer if I take a lady to this affair.

  67.   nicole Says:

i would LOVE to take my husband to this for his 30th birthday.

  68.   Josh C. Says:

East Burn… one of the many restaurants I have on my list of places to try. How about it… Please!?

  69.   pdx32 Says:

I love all that East burn has to offer, but good beer from Hillsboro? Prove it.

  70.   Jaime Says:

I have to keep up my girlish figure. A full 5-courses would allow me to preserve my lovely lady lumps!

Beer and food on the patio at Eastburn, what isn’t to like! Sounds like a fantastic evening :D

My husband and I would enjoy this because we are celebrating our 4th Anniversary this weekend. We started our honeymoon in Portland and liked it so much we moved here. oh dang Jaime beat me to it. I also need to celebrate the end of summer term….

  81.   Megan Vosk Says:

My life long dream is to win a contest, and I never win anything because I am cursed even though I keep entering and entering…and I want to tell my husband, HA, I finally won.

  82.   keith Says:

“I thought you had Vertigo” said Buster

  83.   Jerry Says:

I want to win and add to my beer belly.

  84.   Mary Says:

I would love to win these tickets because eating this bougie-fancy-pants gourmet meal would make the explosive diarrhea that follows much more worth it.

Oh, and it’s my Jewish boyfriend’s birthday and his parents would be horrified to know he was eating seafood with an ex-Catholic on a Thursday.

We’ll probably have crazy hetero-sex afterwards too. Well, after the explosive diarrhea. I’m still a little shy about that stuff.

    Thank you. <3

  85.   ang Says:

I HAVE a beer belly, dangitt! Okay, not really, but I want to go!

  86.   Justin Says:

I’ve been meaning to check out EastBurn, but haven’t made it there yet. This sounds delicious, and like a fantastic way to check it out. Plus, as a Beaverton-dweller, the possibility of finding a great brewery based in Hillsboro is pretty exciting, so I’d love to try Vertigo’s brews as well!

  100.   Joey Says:

Before I took the job I currently have in Dayton, OR(moved here from Des Moines, IA) working for Monrovia Growers, I was accepted into the Art Institute of Chicago for the culinary arts program. My first love is plants, and what better place to move to than Oregon, and my second love is food. Of course, my love of beer is not far behind. What a great chance this would be for me to experience the great food with a northwest twist. Thanks.

  101.   Amy Says:

Beer, beer, beer. I love beer. Here it goes down, down in my belly.

  102.   Cristina Says:

Eastburn is my favorite bar to dine at in the entire city. It is bar food done Portland style (Uber Sondvich, do I need to say more?). Also the Beer Belly dinners support RideOn which is a genius non-profit. For a very reasonable price, they will pick you and your car up and drive you both home!

I’d love to go because East Burn is a great environment and very chill.

  104.   Angel Says:

  110.   Berenice Says:

Everyone else is lying (especially Jade & Free). I can tell. I’m really the only one here likes good food and beer. Thank you.

  111.   Anna Says:

I’m German and lived in Portland since Sept. last year. No question I love beer… c’mon I’m German. I’m moving to D.C. in 2 weeks and it breaks my heart that I have to live my beloved Rose City. So maybe… this would be our farewell dinner together.
