2010 Hawthorne Street Fair Schedule & Info

Portland’s neighborhoods celebrate their identity in many ways, the Hawthorne District throws a party! The Hawthorne Street Fair is regarded by many people as a favorite summer event. The 17th Annual Hawthorne Street Fair features over 80 merchants, food and craft vendors, free movies, kid friendly festivities, live music, and local artists. Come check out Portland’s original “shop local” district with over a hundred businesses that are dedicated to the ideals of community involvement and making Hawthorne a desirable place to work, shop, and live. Get ready, get set, shop local!

This year the Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association is teaming up with Fish Emergency Services (1335 SE Hawthorne) to facilitate a food donation drive in conjunction with the street fair. Fish Emergency Services has been providing emergency food and help to people in need for 41 years in the Portland Metro area. Please bring two cans of food that can be dropped off at many locations at the event. More information can be found at http://www.fishemergencyservice.org.

Sunday Parkways, Portland’s premier bicycle event will cross Hawthorne again this year, drawing thousands of people to the Hawthorne Street Fair! Secure bicycle parking will be set up in the parking lot of Chase Bank (3902 SE Hawthorne) so bicyclist can enjoy the fair.

    I don’t know why they don’t close the street like with the Mississippi Street Fair, would be a hundred times better.
