What a perfect break to the work week! I’d love to check out Dirty Projectors at the Alladin Theater. I need some indie rock to get me through!!!

My favorite band – and circumstances have prevented me from seeing them each time they’ve come through town. Case in point… I had tickets to the Seattle show Thursday and work is now preventing me from making the trip. I’d be thrilled to have tickets to either night!

Ok holy crap, Dirty Projectors! I know I am always on these free giveaway things but please I need to go to this, I would love to go to the All Ages show on the 29th, I was thinking it would make a great gift for my sister since her birthday is that day too!

I hope they play Knotty Pine, omg Dark was the Night is a great comp cd and they knocked their part out of the park, and Cannibal Resource Rules!

Holy moly. I was just telling my roommate how much I wanted to go to this show and how little money I had when I opened my rss feed to this post! Pretty sure it’s meant to be.

I would love to go on Tuesday the 28th!

    • Rb. September 28, 2010 at 12:32 #

Shoot. I need to change my entry. Wednesday the 29th instead, please!

I have to win these.. why? you ask…
Well, last time I tried to see them at Holocene (July 2009).. it was the hottest day Portland has ever seen and there was no A/C there..
Almost everyone there smelled of pot, spilled beer and good will clothes that haven’t been washed in ages..
There was no air, it was too crowded and just stank like crazy!
I couldn’t take the hipsters and had to leave!
So… I missed out on the show! but the two songs I did see were fantastic!
Please give me another chance to see Dirty Projectors!

Great band, that I’ve yet to see live, at my local neighborhood venue. That sounds like a mighty nice Thursday night to me.

Damn, got so excited I confused my dates. I mean Tuesday the 28th. Is it Friday yet? Nope – just Monday – ugh.

  13. Callie September 28, 2010 at 11:07 #

I want to win tickets for the 29th because I can’t get tickets for ANY shows I want to see recently and need some good luck!! And I l-o-v-e the Dirty Projectors.

  14. Denis Rickard September 28, 2010 at 12:26 #

I would reeeeeaaaallly love to see these guys, because they are some of the most skilled, intelligent, rockin’ musicians out there. The songwriting and musicianship is absolutely mind-blowing! Either way, thanks to pdxpipeline, I now know that there even IS an all ages show (when I asked the Aladdin a while back, they said they were both 21+). I was so bummed, because I turn 21 in two weeks…This is fantastic news!

  15. zee September 28, 2010 at 12:32 #

I missed them the last time they played the Aladdin so I’d like tickets to either show. Thanks

  16. armando September 28, 2010 at 12:48 #

i’m hoping to win tickets for the wed/29th show. they’ll be all settled in then…

  17. Davis September 28, 2010 at 16:54 #

I would love to go to either show, I love the dirty projectors and have yet to see them. I have 43.00 in my bank account so there is no way I could normally afford these; but this is my only shot right now!
