The film explores 30 years of history of the Burning Man event. Whether you have been to Burning Man or are interested in the subject or not, the film goes beyond the simple event in the desert, and looks at how ideals/utopias we've had in our youth evolve through an entire lifetime. Specifically, the documentary starts in the late 1970s with 2 groups of people out of the San Francisco underground movements all the way to the multi-million dollar business Burning Man has become, and how politics might have replaced philosophies.
The DIRECTOR will be in attendance for Q&A.
Only Screening
After 18 months of sold out screening throughout the US, Dust & Illusions will be showing in Portland. This is your only chance to see the film since there won't be another screening, and there won't be any DVD made for the film.
Event. Invite 200+ people from Portland Area only on facebook and get 1 FREE TICKET… If not, maybe you have radio/newspaper contact or other resources, then please contact me!

I wanted to so bad and all my friends went, but my now wife had to pick our wedding day the same time so not only did I miss BM, but my friends weren’t at my wedding. Please

This was my first year at Burning Man and readjusting to normal life has been harder than I ever thought it would be. The person who made the whole trip possible, and pulled it all together for me at the last minute, lives in Portland and I’d love to see this with him!

I’ve been going to burning Man for five years now and have become more and more involved each year.
I would like to win the tickets because all the pre-sales are sold out. since it’s going to take me at least an hour to bike to the theater from my house, I’d rather not go out, wait in line for an hour, only to be told that no more seats are available.
I sure like myself a sure thing.
