Portland Cocktail Week
October 20-24
portlandcocktailweek.com
Each fall, distillers, bartenders, spirits enthusiasts, and media officials descend on Portland, Oregon for the Great American Distiller's Festival. With a desire to put our own creative cocktail knowledge to work, a few years ago, we began a small, but serious competition called the PDX Cocktail Invitational.
From one bartender competition, we have grown to include four days of seminars, parties, spirit tastings, networking opportunities, and - of course - more bartender competitions. It is our aim to highlight the best in distillation, engaging bartending and inventive mixology, all wrapped up in the beauty and hospitality of the Pacific Northwest. We bring you the first annual ¬Å“Portland Cocktail Week.¬Â

How did I not even know about this! I guess I will go if I haaaave to ;)
October 20, 2010 at 15:30
I’d like to win because I’ve had a crazy, horrible week (and it’s only half over); The event this weekend looks like a great one, and I’ve love to attend; Can’t afford to buy tickets, so winning is the only way I can go; I’ve got a great idea for a black tie/animal costume, ready to play some pirate golf (I have a costume for that too, if needed) and the ice, ice baby party looks amazing…
October 20, 2010 at 15:37
I need the tickets because my son just moved to NY and I am stuck inside for 12 hours doing parent teacher conferences for 2 days!
October 20, 2010 at 15:41
Would love to win tickets to Lupec….thank you, thank you, thank you in advance.
October 20, 2010 at 15:46
I would love to go because since I got married I have not done half of the fun and wonderful things that Portland has to offer! The Fall in PDX is amazing and I’d love to share this with my new Hubs!
October 20, 2010 at 15:47
Okay, I love regular boring stuff that I know, like jack & coke, vodka & OJ! Boring true, I hate buying stuff making & then regretting it. It would be nice to try local beverages, local people & new things! I like is mixed or blended. Go PORTLAND!
October 20, 2010 at 15:49
I would love to win tickets to shipwrecked because I’m ready to get my Yoko on and drink cocktails with umbrellas in them.
October 20, 2010 at 16:04
okay, so I like the boring mixes of Jack & Coke, Vodka & OJ, very bland. I am affraid to buy stuff because I will regret it, I just want to know how to mix & make. I want to win to get to know local people, local beverages & local fun.
I liked it mixed or blended! Go PORTLAND. Keep it weird! Of course I would like any day but Thursday would be best, I have that day off….other days I, won’t have to call in sick to work.
October 20, 2010 at 16:07
oh, I forgot to state, any day would be great but Thursday would work out best because I won’t have to call in sick!
October 20, 2010 at 16:07
uh, the drinks? Really, just back on the drinks after a month off, so some really great ones would ease me back into the swing of things.

Thanks, in advance :)

October 20, 2010 at 19:54
Portland Cocktail Week?! Seriously?! This is fabulous. Portland is growing on me ever day. Cocktail sampling should be my job, really. I love the tried and true standbys such as plain old martinis, jack and code, and a vodka soda. But I am first in line to try a new concoction – bring on the cocktails!
October 20, 2010 at 19:56
I would love to win this pass. The line up looks incredible! Cheers
October 20, 2010 at 20:16
Cocktail Week?! Seriously?! I was MADE for Cocktail Week! I’ve heard of Fleet Week, Awareness of X,Y,Z Day/Week/Month, even Beer. week. Cocktail Week! It’s about time that cocktails get some recognition!

October 21, 2010 at 16:37
Man I would love to go to shipwrecked. Miniature golf, glowing greens, spirits. What better place to be in Portland. Thank you pipeline.
October 21, 2010 at 16:39
The ‘Ice, Ice Baby’ party sounds like a BUH-LAST!! I would love to win tickets to that!
First of all, it starts out at the coolest hotel in Portland. They have a drink named after Huey Lewis, for God’s sake! I’ve never actually had the chance to really hang out there but I’ve been ACHING to since I first found out about it. I’m pretty obsessed with Clark Gable and I need to see his portrait in the hall, also.
Second, being shuttled to a different location on a double decker sounds awesome to me, probably because I’ve never been on one before. Also, said different location is going to contain bars made of ICE!!
Third, I’ve always wanted to try the food at Irving St. Kitchens but it’s outside my budget. I walk past it frequently and it looks delicious!
Please PLEASE help me experience these fantastic sounding things!
October 21, 2010 at 16:39
i want to go to ship wrecked! sounds like the most amazing party!!
October 21, 2010 at 17:23
I should attend because I am the God of you and everything and I implore you to give me tickets before you incur my wrath and I drown this modern Ghemora with my volcanoey vengence!
I’m also broke and want to take my lady out
October 21, 2010 at 17:41
Fri night sounds fun for me and the lady
October 21, 2010 at 18:15

Broke! Need booze!
October 22, 2010 at 12:58
I prefer the Shipwreck gig. I pride my sense of style and taste in fine cocktails. I like to hold my glass close to my chest while leaning on something–preferably a bar next to a lovely lady. I’d tell this lady about how much I dig cocktails and drop subtle hints on the impeccable attention I pay to my shirt collar. She’ll notice the great lengths and time I dedicate to properly starching and ironing my collar. If she’s cool enough, she’ll recognize, too, that I use only the finest collar stays available in the free world.
I would have to exercise caution, though, around the roasted pig, as I’ve, in the very distant past, been known as the guy who sure can put away the free food.
Temperance regarding the pig, cocktail suaveness, and razor-sharp collar tips will be my contributions to this lovely night.
October 22, 2010 at 13:10
We are ready for a fun night out!
October 22, 2010 at 13:15
Because FREE booze and food sounds amazing!
