This sounds like a wonderful opportunity to try new gourmet pairings.
I love raw oysters, seafood bars, and chocolate fountains with fresh strawberries.
My wife and I will appreciate the epicurean atmosphere to be sure.
November 1, 2010 at 14:24
Oh please please please let me win the food and wine festival tickets!!! I’m dying to go. In fact, I’m drooling just thinking about it. Yum.
Why do I want to go? I love food. I love wine. I have the day off and so does my boyfriend (a rare treat as we don’t usually have days off together).
November 1, 2010 at 14:24
Life is meant to be enjoyed, and good food and wine are enhancements to the human experience. Plus a good Tempranillo just tickles my fancy.
November 1, 2010 at 14:24
My life revolves around indulging in food and beverages. This would be heaven for me. I also write a local Portland food blog, so I would love the inspiration! Great event!
November 1, 2010 at 14:29
This sounds like a very delicious event! I’m ready to go..pick me, please!
November 1, 2010 at 14:30
What a great event! I’d love to go; I love food and wine
November 1, 2010 at 14:45
I would love love love to go with my sweetheart and indulge in delicious food and wine for the evening!! :)
November 1, 2010 at 14:57
My wife and I were discussing atheism vs agnosticism last night and she disagreed when I said that I’m an atheist. She said that as someone that savors fine food and wine, I may not believe that there’s an old man keeping an eye on us from heaven, but that eating well is a form of spirituality, therefore I must be agnostic. Going to the 5th Annual Northwest Food And Wine Festival would be the ultimate spiritual experience!
November 1, 2010 at 15:17
This would be a most delightful date for my honey and I. I would be forever grateful if you were to choose us to win. Much love-
November 1, 2010 at 15:21
I love to try new wines, especially ones from the Northwest. Would love to win the tickets!
November 1, 2010 at 15:22
Wow, another food and wine fest? I thought there was only Taste of the Nation. This would be an awesome 30th B-day present for the wife. It might be three days late but hey its the thought that counts. Her B-day is Nov 10. She just discovered the joys of wine and wants to try all the Northwest wineries. I can only pray to the wine gods to win this one. If I do manage to win, I won’t enter anything else for a year.
November 1, 2010 at 15:29
Help my impress my lady friend not only with my knowledge of fine NW wines but also with my extensive hookups that allow us to get into swanky events like this.
You can make it happen. You have the power.
November 1, 2010 at 15:37
What a fantastic way to spend an evening out in Portland. Right up my alley!
November 1, 2010 at 15:37
I need out. Waaaaaaayyyyy out.
November 1, 2010 at 15:54
It’s my girlfriends birthday and it would be a great start to the weekend! She loves wine! :-)
November 1, 2010 at 16:01
I’m unemployed. Enough said.
November 1, 2010 at 16:02
This would truly be a Great opportunity to taste and experience the Bounty that the Great Northwest has to offer.
November 1, 2010 at 16:40
I love finding new things to love about Oregon, and it’s too rainy to go out looking for them!
November 1, 2010 at 16:50
Oregon food & Oregon Pinot. I so want to go! But this is way out of my budget.
November 1, 2010 at 17:07
Yes please! Would love to have a relaxing day with Food and Wine. Love the Northwest!
November 1, 2010 at 17:33
It’s dark, it’s dreary. It wont stop raining. Seasonal Affective Disorder is getting ready to rear its ugly devil head.
Food and Wine are bliss and the perfect escape from the fact that PDX wont see the sun for the next 4 months at least.
I want this, I need this, I gotta have this!
November 1, 2010 at 17:38
What a great event! I’d love to take my wife to the Northwest Food and Wine Festival to celebrate her upcoming fiftieth birthday! It may get me out of the doghouse for a few days.
November 1, 2010 at 18:02
Wow. 600 wines and 30 restaurants. I’d love to check out the new location at Pure Space.
Thanks
November 1, 2010 at 18:18
Love Northwest wines and food. This is an awesome giveaway. Can’t wait to attend.
November 1, 2010 at 18:28
It’s my BIRTHDAY!! I’d love to explore more about the foods and wine of the NW as I’m new to the city.
PICK ME! PICK ME! PICK ME!
(Insert Jazz Hands and dance routine)
November 1, 2010 at 19:07
My girlfriend and I are huge fans of NW food and wine (and of course, PDX Pipeline!). We would be forever grateful for the chance to go–especially given our current financial state. Thanks!
November 1, 2010 at 19:59
Winning would be a dream come true. So far it has been such a difficult fall and food and wine is just what the doctor ordered! PDXPIPELINE you’re the BEST!
November 1, 2010 at 20:40
I would like to drink wine. And eat food.
November 1, 2010 at 21:33
If I could stay hydrated only drinking wine, I would stop drinking water. Seriously, I love Northwest Wine and would love the opportunity to taste many of the best!
November 1, 2010 at 21:51
I hate playing the poor grad student card, but I’m playing it here! Hook a brother up so she can impress the older, hotter, much more fancy lady she’s dating. Help me get to second base ;)
November 2, 2010 at 00:42
Ah.. Free food and Wine, I would love to win!
November 2, 2010 at 01:17
I would love to do this, not having any money means this is not an option!
November 2, 2010 at 02:39
Yes please! I need a break from studying.
November 2, 2010 at 06:42
I work in food service, at a “fine dining” establishment, and I can’t afford to go to a festival catering to my beloved career where I could git some education and schmoozing. Therefore, I’d really like to win.
November 2, 2010 at 09:43
Yes, I would love to win these tickets to the Food & Wine Festival. What fun it would be.Thanks!
November 2, 2010 at 09:53
Ooh, I’ve always wanted to go to the to the Food and Wine Festival but haven’t been able to afford it yet. If I get to go, I promise that I will be on my best behavior.
November 2, 2010 at 10:11
My friend needs this. He just moved back to the Northwest from the Midwest, and he needs to have some awesome food and wine to celebrate!
November 2, 2010 at 12:32
I’ve always wanted to go to this event and I can’t ever afford it.
Please, please, please….give me the tickets! I don’t have a boyfriend, so it’s not like I’ll have a date night if I don’t go. Also, I’ll take a friend who will love it and can’t afford the tix.
November 2, 2010 at 13:10
“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” Benjamin Franklin
Beer, wine, and food makes everyone happy. Thanks, God.
November 2, 2010 at 14:14
My Boyfriend and I recently made the move to Portland (after graduating from U of O). We both love food and wine and would love to attend, but unfortunately the re-payment of student loans prohibits us from buying tickets. But we would both love a nice night out with food and wine.
November 2, 2010 at 15:01
you know, I saw this on facebook, and so I commented “on this post” which was on facebook … then I saw another facebook comment in which it said to comment at this link, which is ANOTHER post, so then … oh, you get the idea. I’d LOVE to go because I LOVE FOOOOD and PDX Pipeline of course.
November 2, 2010 at 15:06
It’s my birthday weekend. I don’t have $150.00, but I do have an amazing thirst for wine.
I assume these contests are chosen at random, so all I can do is throw in my name and hope for the best.
Thank You!!
November 2, 2010 at 16:51
Love food and wine! Sounds like an amazing night.
November 2, 2010 at 20:23
I’m brand new to Portland and would love to have one of my first downtown experiences be this! I should win because I just moved to this new, big city, have few friends, and desperately need a social event to attend! ;)
November 2, 2010 at 21:10
Would be an awesome way to end a day of adventure planned up on Mt Hood. I work for a nonprofit in Eugene and would to see how this event works.
November 2, 2010 at 21:18
The window by my desk looks directly at the Pure Space building, and I am constantly wanting to crash their fancy-schmancy events. Actually having tickets though, seems like the classier way to go.
And, what can I say, this heffa likes to eat!
November 3, 2010 at 00:27
I really need to win this to get in the good graces with my wife. I haven’t taken her out lately, and she would love this.
November 3, 2010 at 01:07
My sister is coming to visit for the first time after nearly 5 years, I’d love to take her to the tasting and show her what Oregon has to offer!
November 3, 2010 at 09:07
I’d love to go to this but the tickets are always so expensive. Free tix would be awesome!
November 3, 2010 at 09:25
I love wine and food! Pleasepleaseplease!
November 3, 2010 at 09:40
I Would love to attend this event. Really trying to learn all I can about wine.
November 3, 2010 at 10:18
It would be an excellent way to impress the girl of my dreams so she’ll marry me and we can have lots of babies…..or maybe just one….or two.
November 3, 2010 at 11:35
This is such an amazing prize. I would love to experience this event.
*If you drink no Noir, you Pinot Noir*
November 3, 2010 at 12:00
I’d love to win this experience some of the best food and drink in the world. And have a date night with the wife
November 3, 2010 at 12:21
I would love to be considered for tickets to this event. My birthday is on November 13th and I can’t think of a more amazing way to celebrate!!! My fiance and I really appreciate delicious food and wine, but can’t afford to go to most of these incredible restuaurants or buy these quality bottles of wine. This would be such a fun and memorable date for us!! Thank you :)

I love food and drink from the best place in the world, and it would be a great date night for me and my wife.
November 4, 2010 at 10:12
Wine and cheese, what a perfect pairing!
November 4, 2010 at 10:26
This is a great opportunity that I would love to take! I would call myself an amature epicurian (food and wine matcher). I am self taught and mostly use just common sense. This would give me the chance to learn some tips from the pros. Life is full of little pleasures and winning this prize would bring me pleasure!
November 4, 2010 at 12:38
This is something that I really want. I am so passionate about food and wine and the pairing of the two. I am always playing with combinations of amazing food with amazing wines. I do not treat myself to events like this. I am employeed at Portland Public Schools, and it does not pay much. The money I make is used to support myself and to pay back school loans. This event would be so good for me and I hope (and pray!) that I am chosen to attend this event, it would truely make my month and give me some much needed relax/me time. Pretty please :)
November 4, 2010 at 13:28
Sparkle says… Please :)
November 4, 2010 at 13:29
It would be great to win these tickets. I love food and wine and I would be able to take my wife out for a great time!
November 4, 2010 at 13:35
I would love to win these tickets! I am a food and wine enthusiast, but unfortunately one with few funds at the moment. As a full time student and part time non-profit worker a nice night of food and wine would lift my spirits and help me continue to help make the world a better place!
November 4, 2010 at 13:36
This event takes place on my birthday. I think it would be a great way to spend my day- food and wine are essential in any celebration, right? I have only lived in Portland for a few months and have not yet had the opportunity to explore the fun festivals in the city. It would be much appreciated!~
November 4, 2010 at 13:42
I love good food and wine and this event sounds like the place to find both!
November 4, 2010 at 13:47
Woah, This list is getting longer and longer. Glad to see you’re experiencing such success. I remember back in the old days when I was the only one commenting and I still didn’t win a ticket. Maybe this time.
November 4, 2010 at 13:48
I love cheese.
Wine does good things to you.
November 4, 2010 at 13:49
I have recently begun branching out in wine tastes and would really love a chance to experience a breadth of local and regional wines. Local food wouldn’t hurt either.
November 4, 2010 at 13:50
I would love to surprise my husband with this! He was just lamenting the ticket price.
November 4, 2010 at 13:50
This is my first fall in Portland and I am trying to experience all the good things in the city. I am newly married and we are always looking for something to do together. Food, wine, and great company would make an awesome date night!
November 4, 2010 at 13:53
Oh my god! This would be amazing!! I absolutely love to eat and drink wine. I’ve been unemployed for 4 months now and still paying off student loans so money’s tight. I’ve been getting creative with my pantry since I love to cook but grocery shopping must be thinned out. Going to this would be the most fun ever!! I could pretend I have discretionary income!!
November 4, 2010 at 13:55
My boyfriend and I are later in life college students living on our own, and would love to have the opportunity to enjoy good food and greater wine!
November 4, 2010 at 14:07
I’m a PCC whose idea of a fine wine and cheese is a $5 bottle of Barefoot Riesling and a $3 block of cheddar. Basically, this prize would blow my world apart.
November 4, 2010 at 14:10
Food Wine and Northwest how can you go wrong!
November 4, 2010 at 14:12
I love food and wine! They are the best combo ever and add in NW there are just no words!

I learned wine in the former German Democratic Republic. GDR wine was to wine what mocha frappuccino is to coffee. Help! I already appreciate Northwest cuisine but would be happy to receive some continuing education.
November 4, 2010 at 14:22
I’m a foodaholic! We love NW wine. Please pick us. We work hard and need a break!
November 4, 2010 at 14:38
Food loves Me. Wine Loves me even more. I love them back passionately, especially if they are one of a kind, like the NorthWest is showing me it is!
November 4, 2010 at 14:41
What can I say that hasn’t already been said? I don’t know because I haven’t read any of the other entries. Really, why bother? I believe – nay, I know – that I deserve these tickets because I moved here five years ago following the Portland dream: creative, innovative thoughtspace; beautiful scenery; temperate weather; civic engagement; a laid-back vibe; a great transit system; and general weirdness. I knew that such a place would allow me to flourish, to find my niche, as it were. FAIL! That’s right, Portland’s let me down. So I am now reduced to entering contests in order to live the lifestyle to which I had hoped to become accustomed. So please give me some of the delicious Northwest Food and Wine that I’ve heard so much about. It’s the least you can do, Portland!
November 4, 2010 at 14:56
Put my name in the hat! I’d love to go.
November 4, 2010 at 15:30
The only way to improve on food and wine is by adding warm companionship, but since this isn’t the Northwest Food, Wine and Warm Companionship Festival I’m sure I can be (mostly) satisfied with just the food and the wine.
November 4, 2010 at 16:02
Food! Wine! Please pick us!
My fiancee and I would love to attend!
November 4, 2010 at 16:09
I am way more fun than these other people ;-)
November 4, 2010 at 16:13
Yes please, I would love to attend–so many restaurants in the Portland area that I would love to get a taste of what they have to offer. I also love to taste wine–I wish it was in the budget to attend–sadly it is not —i would be thrilled to win tickets and get to attend.
November 4, 2010 at 16:30
I would love to attend because I have been dying to go since it was the “First Annual NW Food and Wine Festival”!
November 4, 2010 at 16:32
perfect start to a birthday night. nw party with food & wine, private party with food & wine. wouldn’t that be sweet.
November 4, 2010 at 16:36
Who doesn’t want to win this? HELLO! :)
November 4, 2010 at 16:38
I have yet to go to any food & wine events in Portland. While nothing has prevented me from going in the past, I am sure that free tickets from PDXPipeline would definitely get me there!
November 4, 2010 at 16:44
Being an unrepentant oenophile, I’d love the opportunity to sample a range of local wines.
November 4, 2010 at 16:44
My female friend and I complain about the lack of men pool in PDX area. WHY not enjoy our singlehood on this night with fabulous wine and food?? OMG, I’m so excited just to hear about this.
PLEASE PICK ME!!!!! I swear I can totally represent your website!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
November 4, 2010 at 16:45
I think I caught myself drooling at the thought of all this food and wine. Oh, the thought of winning is fabulous!!!!
November 4, 2010 at 16:46
Wow, good score Pipeline! I’d love to win these guys. The NW has some of the best food and wine in the world. It’s a no-brainer.
November 4, 2010 at 16:46
Someone has to win – why not me?
November 4, 2010 at 16:46
I would love to win this! I love Oregon Pinots, and would love to have the chance to taste some new ones rather than always sticking to my old favorites.
November 4, 2010 at 17:09
I love food and wine. Its as simple as that.
November 4, 2010 at 17:12
I’d be crazy to not want to win this. How divine! PDXP you know how to treat us!!
November 4, 2010 at 17:22
I’ve never been to this venue or event before. I love food and wine and I would love to take my foodie friend with me.
November 4, 2010 at 17:26
I’m crazy about Oregon wines and would love to go!
November 4, 2010 at 17:30
Because I just started dating the cutest guy ever after dating a complete JACK ASS for 4 years and I would love to take him with me!
November 4, 2010 at 17:35
I love wine tastings and would love to experience more from the NW.
November 4, 2010 at 18:32
Love you guys! Really need to branch out in my wine-drinking lately, and would love this chance to try (and to buy!) some new stuff!!
November 4, 2010 at 18:39
My brother and I both love to cook. He’s a wine and spirits expert – and he’s unemployed. So I’d love to take him to this festival!
November 4, 2010 at 18:41
some of these people are really into this! …but i am just hungry. COMMON RANDOM DRAWING!
November 4, 2010 at 18:44
I’d like to attend because I can’t imagine a lovelier way to spend a day!
November 4, 2010 at 18:58

November 4, 2010 at 19:43
Some people like theater, some like live music, but I far prefer fine food and drink. This would be like an all too short vacation, but like, here, right in town. And such a great opportunity to further the missus’ new appreciation of the diversity of wines.
November 4, 2010 at 19:58
This would be an awesome birthday present for my wife!
November 4, 2010 at 20:04
Wine speaks to me…and I love food with all of my heart!
November 4, 2010 at 20:45
I am sitting right now drinking a new wine that I found, and am thinking about all the wines that the NW has that I have never tried… I can think of no better way then this event to get a chance to try some new wines that I can share latter on with my friends, and one special friend on the night of the tasting… I would so love to win tickets to this event, and promise that I will make a toast to PDX Pipeline with the first and the last drink of the night….
November 4, 2010 at 21:00
Hmm where to start with something to deem worthy of being picked?
I’d like to say with this possible win I would throw out all restraints I have for loosing this 10 lbs of extra warmth I am carrying around.
I would savor every morsel and let the wine open up my palate to experience some of the nights many offerings.
I would talk with as many owners as I could to gleam everything I can learn in one night.
Upon waking up late I would lay in bed with my guy and talk about all the fun we had the night before.
Stepping on the scales I will see it has moved up a couple of lbs. and know it was well worth every swirl, and every bite. ( I can always wear dresses being more forgiving then jeans.)
November 4, 2010 at 21:04
I fell and broke my hip about 6 weeks ago. I really need to get out of the house and have some fun!!! Not quite back to “normal” yet, but this would definitely cheer me up and I know would be so much fun.
November 4, 2010 at 21:09
I love Oregon bounty wine & would love to attend the event!
November 4, 2010 at 21:12
PDX Rocks! I’d love to join you in the Pearl.
November 4, 2010 at 21:27
My tastes do not match the sad reality of my budget. Please, for one night, throw me a bone and let me achieve my delusions of grandeur!
November 4, 2010 at 21:47
It is my (and my husband’s) 7th wedding anniversary on November 9th, and what better way than to celebrate with some delicious wine and food?
November 4, 2010 at 22:03
I’d really like to see and experience that you americans can do better than cheeseburgers and watery beer!
November 4, 2010 at 22:17
Since this is a food and wine event in the pearl, I promise if I win I will bring a bottle of Grey Poupon and offer it to everybody.
November 4, 2010 at 22:34
“It is well to remember that there are five reasons for drinking: the arrival of a friend; one’s present or future thirst; the excellence of the wine; or any other reason.”
Latin saying
November 4, 2010 at 23:32
I will be visiting Portland, OR for the 1st time this weekend. I moved to Seattle a few years ago, but never seemed to find the time to venture out until now! I would love to have the full Portland experience with getting tickets for the nw food and wine festival, it sounds delightful!!!
November 4, 2010 at 23:36
Cool prize!
I would enjoy the food, the wine but also would love the opportunity of meeting tons of like-minded food and wine lovers. People always bond when they eat, drink and make merry and this is just a fantastic special occasion that would so much fun to attend. I’m sure everyone equally deserved to win this, I would be extatic if it were me! Thanks for putting on this drawing and for the cool PDX event info!!
November 5, 2010 at 05:53
I would swirl the wine
and savor the cheese
slurp up the oysters
and go weak at the knees
The northwest bounty
all set in the Pearl
I’ll indulge all my senses
but I swear I won’t hurl
Cheers!

DON’T PICK ME.
Everyone else has better reasons.
Wine and food and Portland are all stupid things that I hate.

I am from central New York and was unfortunate(or fortunate) enough to have broken my clavical. My boyfriend lives here in Portland and invited me to stay here while I heal. I absolutely love this city! There is so much to do, so much to see, and so much culture. Thank you Portland for helping me make lemonaide out of my lemon. I am in the resturant business and my ex-husband owns a wine and liqour store in New York. I would very much love to attend this event. Thank you for considering me!

I am a wanna-be foodie…I wanna be one but I can’t afford it! This sounds like an amazing festival.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm…..Sounds absolutely delightful! What better way to spend a Saturday evening?! XO
November 5, 2010 at 12:09
It certainly would make up for what has been a really crappy month, especially after getting laid off and not being able to enjoy some of the finer things as of late! Plus, there’s a cute girl I know that I’d love to take out to something fancy… I hope I get them!

November 9, 2010 at 22:04
I just marked my one year anniversary with this city and my amazing roommate. We both are Portland transplants who have fallen in love with every aspect of this city, including the access to amazing food and wine. I would cherish the opportunity to go to this event with him.
November 11, 2010 at 19:41
My friend and I are two young women working our way up Portland’s vibrant culinary food chain. I would love to attend the event, as a cook Im looking to expand my food and wine palate and believe this would be the perfect opportunity. My friend as a food stylist and writer would be able to learn about new trends in wine and be able to explore what local restaurants are doing now. PLEASE PICK US!
*also we are two hot mammas!
