Standup comedian, actor and writer Bo Burnham announced he will embark on a multi-city standup tour dubbed the “Bo Burnham and (No) Friends” Tour. Produced by AEG Live, the (No) Friends tour will kick off in October and crisscross the nation over the next three months. Burnham will debut his second Comedy Central special “Words, Words, Words,” on October 16th and is releasing a companion CD/DVD on October 19th.
Earlier this year Burnham completed his first successful national concert tour billed as the “FAKE ID TOUR” which hit over 70 cities and was in support of his first full length LP; self titled “Bo Burnham.” The album, which was released last year, debuted at #1 on Billboard's New Artist Chart and was #2 on the Billboard Comedy chart and continues to remain in the top 10 on SoundScan's Comedy chart after 80 weeks. The DVD of this special was also certified Gold.
Burnham just wrapped up a 30 day run at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest where he performed to sellout audiences and won the “Spirit of the Fringe Award.” He was also the youngest performer ever nominated for the “Best Show Award” in the festival's 30 year history.
Additionally, Burnham has already started compiling film credits with roles in Apatow's “Funny People,” and most recently Federighi's coming-of-age comedy “Sin Bin.” MTV recently ordered a 30 minute scripted pilot from Burnham about a kid fresh out of high school who's pursuing the American dream of being a celebrity without having any talent.

Bo Burnham is my daughters FAVORITE comedian/artist. She’s 14, and somewhat to my chagrin, can recite all of his songs from memory. It would probably be the greatest day of her young life if I told her we were going to this show.

My kid who is 17 is really bummed he can’t go to the various comedy clubs around town. He’s been creating comic books and parody music CD’s for the last ten years. And that’s just the stuff I know about. Mom would score some cool factor points if I could score him some Bo Burnham tix. I know he likes him, and from the sound of things, Bo needs more friends.

I was supposed to see Bo the last time he was in town. I had made plans to go with a friend. Then he said he wasn’t feeling well and canceled. So I canceled. Later that night, from his Facebook feed I learned he had decided to go anyway. The show was almost over when I found out, so I missed it. Doesn’t that just burn your ass? Receiving these tickets now would be an implementation of cosmic justice.
