About mr. Gnome (www.mr-gnome.blogspot.com)
“Sounds like ethereal Icelandic fairies being pummeled by concrete guitars in a dirty Cleveland parking lot. AKA: awesome.” ~Paste Magazine
Cleveland, Ohio duo Nicole Barille and Sam Meister are mr. Gnome, who take psychedelic rock to a whole new level. They deliver slashing atmospheric guitar, high-ceilinged vocals, and tight pounding drums, creating a unique sound of contrasting jagged and soothing textures, with vocals that range from a whisper to a scream. Heave Your Skeleton (the anticipated follow up to Deliver This Creature) deftly manages to create an eerie and addictive sound.
About Two Ton Boa (www.myspace.com/2tonboa)
"There is something weirdly Wim Wenders about Two Ton Boa. They
have a circus-like atmosphere and a drably sad outlook. Leering, provacative,
smart, brazen as hell with a calliope twinkle. Absolutely good." ~Vice Magazine
Portland trio Two Ton Boa craft melodically dark and hypnotic songs, pop with a goth twist. Singer Sherry Fraser is a classically trained vocalist, and her breadth of range is an emotional punch of emotion, mysterious, funny, and raw. It's the perfect tone for songs that have been called "perfectly suited to the films of Tim Burton," and full of "enthusiastic gloom." Whatever you want to call it, this band is timeless. About Soul Vaccination (www.soulvax.com/home.html)
"Nothing encourages dancing like the sounds of a big ol' funky horn band, and Soul Vaccination is one of the best…expect a great time with sparkling vocals, an airtight rhythm section and powerful, horn-driven delivery." ~The Oregonian
10-piece funk band Soul Vaccination is a Northwest music fixture, a powerhouse of musical luminaries who bring life to classics from Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, and more. They cover soul, jazz, and R&B with finesse, full of soulful vocals, maniacal horns, and popping rhythms. Band members have performed with the likes of Nu Shooz, Body and Soul, Linda Horbuckle Band, and Duffy Bishop, among others. They bring a wealth of energy to the stage, so prepare to have the classics resurrected by the most inspiring of performers. Buy Tickets here

About Champagne Champagne (www.myspace.com/champagnechampagne)
"I enjoy champagne whether it's a $5 bottle of Andre or top shelf stuff the CEO of my work brings in. Onstage, Champagne Champagne is even better, easily in place to be the next mass hyped Seattle hip-hop group." ~ Three Imaginary Girls
Seattle trio Champagne Champagne bring their refreshing party of old-school rhymes and Northwest hip-hop to our stage, songs of layered art rock, disco, and 80's new wave surging underneath hip-hop vocals. They've been associated with the "hipster-hop" movement of friends Mad Rad, and compared to old-school legends like Common, but all categorizations fail these innovators. They're a new breed of rappers, creating a singular sound of rhythm that's full of style. Buy Tickets here

Hey,
I want to go to Soul Vaccination on Saturday Night. I need soul music to light up my soul in these stormy, rainy days. Full of homesickness as a German exchange student at PSU. I haven’t been to a venue yet and I hope to win the tickets as a reward for the hard work of the last months while studying and learning a foreign language.

Champagne Champagne and mad rad. If only to remind mad rad of the time they played a house show at my friend’s place last year but couldnt perform because of technical difficulties. I jokingly said it was bullshit (of them to bail out on the FREE house show) and one of them got really pissed and had to have his girlfriend calm him down. I want to see them for reals this time!
November 18, 2010 at 17:26
I want two tickets to see Mr. Gnome because they’re AMAZING and I love their live shows. Sam and Nicole kick major ass and I’d like to drink beers with them before and/or after the show.
