Portland Trail Blazers Schedule

The Blazers find themselves in New Jersey tonight, where they will play the Nets and try to avoid dropping 3 straight games for the 2nd time this season.

The Nets are currently sit at 5-11, which is exactly 5 more wins than they had this time last year. They're still bad. Both the Nets and Blazers struggle to score points consistently. Neither team rebounds particularly well.

The Nets on paper.
Starting five: Travis Outlaw, Kris Humphries, Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Anthony Morrow
Off the bench: Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Damion James, Derrick Favors

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
The Blazers are currently 4-1 against the Eastern Conference.
Joel Pryzbilla was ready to play Friday night, but was held back with a stomach virus.

STRATEGY
Out-rebound the Nets. Pryzbilla has been listed as questionable for the game, his return would really help the Blazers who are currently averaging only 39.7 rebounds per game (27th out of 30).

LET'S GET RICH
To date: 8-3-1.
Blazers are 4.5 point favorites. I like them to start this road trip with a win.

TRADE ME
Rudy Fernandez went down with a pelvic bone contusion Friday night. I assume he will sit out tonight. No great loss.

NEXT 5
@ Philadelphia
@ Boston
@ Washington
vs Los Angeles Clippers
vs Phoenix

BOTTOM LINE
As far as road trips go, this one is pretty tame. Very winnable games against the Nets, Sixers and Wizards. Going 3-1 on this trip would be huge for the team's confidence.
