Yes of course they do! This team will get its collective shit together. And hopefully trade for Nash.
December 1, 2010 at 18:20
Yes they will make the playoffs! Only way from here is up!
December 1, 2010 at 18:22
Of course The Blazers will make the playoffs! They are the best team ever!!!!!
(and they have the best fans to back them up!)
December 1, 2010 at 18:22
Because I just bought tickets for lottas money from you guys already as a present. ……ANDDDD at the game I attend, I will put a FIRE in the blazers ass and they will be in full affect after that! Just sayin.
December 1, 2010 at 18:23
They will if they find some heart.
December 1, 2010 at 18:32
yes, absolutely! they are working out adjustments to Roy’s new role and seeing how to work Matthews and Mills into the mix and then i predict they’ll be red hot!
December 1, 2010 at 20:05
Of course they will! They always seem to pull through! When times get tough…the Blazers get tougher!
December 1, 2010 at 20:15
This is the land of Black and Red Miracles. If I squeeze my eyes together I can make anything happen.
December 1, 2010 at 20:18
I would love to take my son to a blazers game, we have never been. He plays basketball really well and basketball in general has brought joy to our family. We love the blazers and yes they still have a chance to make it to the playoffs! We love the blazers!!!
December 1, 2010 at 20:26
They very well may if they keep working hard for it! A Blazer game this weekend sounds amazing!
December 1, 2010 at 21:01
It’s a goofy question because the season is so long and the answer does not just lie with the Blazers, but the league in general. Anything can happen, and all this team needs is some momentum and they will be back with the best of them. They aren’t bad, they just have some setbacks and are in a division with some teams with some advantages.
December 1, 2010 at 21:49
Yuppers!!! They will find themselves!!!! They are bound to get healthier (ie. Roy).
December 1, 2010 at 22:44
The Blazers historically have made the playoffs every 2 out of 3 seasons and despite being stretched thin, they are a good team and are no easy win for any team in the NBA.
Roy is hungry and will lead the team to the playoffs, he knows he doesn’t have much time and so does his team. Nate McMillan is also coaching to keep his job since this is his last season on contract, he wont accept a losing season. These things should push an already capable team into playoff trajectory.
December 1, 2010 at 23:13
Hell yes they will! We gotta keep faith in our team! They can do it! :)
December 1, 2010 at 23:20
Yes, thanks to the return of the Thrilla, the Killa, the Vanilla Gorilla, Jooooooooooooooooel Przybillaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
December 2, 2010 at 00:40
Yes if wesley brings offended, he undoubtedly a great defender but could we have the complete package on our hands?
December 2, 2010 at 03:10
Won’t make playoffs this year; last year was admirable in effort but no one wants to play on a sick ward team whose “MVP” has shown all the heart and leadership of a weasel.
December 2, 2010 at 08:43
Of course they will get it together and make the playoffs â€â€Â keep hope alive!
December 2, 2010 at 09:14
I think Rudy and Nic will get their confidence back. I think Joel coming back will help lock up the inside with Camby.
December 2, 2010 at 10:23
They have a good history and may begin to work even harder now that they are a little short of players. Go Blazers!
December 2, 2010 at 10:27
Yep!!! Wes Mathews!!
December 2, 2010 at 12:21
Yes we will make it to the playoffs. The Blazers have the spirit and drive it takes to be a winning team. With the return of the Vanilla Gorilla, Joooooooel Przybillaaaaaaaa the Blazers will be back above .500 in no time.
December 2, 2010 at 13:46
Yeah, they’ll squeak in thanks to Mathews’ hustle.
December 2, 2010 at 15:00
The Blazers will make the playoffs with our depth, coaching, and heart!
December 2, 2010 at 15:03
Yes! They will invest precisely $6 million into the most cutting-edge, advanced technology to rebuild and upgrade Greg Oden into a sort of cyborg with indestructible knees, three extra inches in height and a titanium-reinforced, telescoping rebound arms. Three of ‘em.
King James will be crying in his throne room (toilet).
December 2, 2010 at 15:08
There’s still enough talent for an 8th place finish. Finding a winning formula should be easier once the Pryz returns.
December 2, 2010 at 15:21
Yes. Because I said they will.
December 2, 2010 at 15:46
I think if the Blazers stay focused and play HARD they could Totally make it to the playoffs!
December 2, 2010 at 16:26
yep. they`ll go because the t-wolves won`t!
December 2, 2010 at 16:28
Yes, because in the NBA, every team makes it to the playoffs. Don’t they??
December 2, 2010 at 16:38
Blazers are gonna make playoffs this year cuz they have used up all their bad mojo and only have the good stuff left :-)
December 2, 2010 at 16:42
Since my girlfriend is a huge Blazer fan, I sure hope so! They make it to the playoffs, then that means more happiness in my life! ;D
December 2, 2010 at 16:46
of course the blazers are going to the playoffs…i didn’t move to portland for nothing!!
December 2, 2010 at 16:55
You betcha Chesta they will…it’s time to get serious about their BB Game! :)
December 2, 2010 at 16:56
Yes,We’ll make the playoffs! We’re still a good core team even with all the crazy injuries! Brandy Roy is pacing himself for the long season! Blazers will start winning again next game ! GO BLAZERS!!!
December 2, 2010 at 16:56
They will definitely make the playoffs, but need to find a big man to match up with the rest of the league
December 2, 2010 at 16:58
Please pick me for Blazer tickets! Yes, they will make it to playoffs, they’re just getting started! :)
December 2, 2010 at 17:04
of course they will its in the water as well as the stars
December 2, 2010 at 17:06
Yes, of course they will make the playoffs!! Because they are awesome and Brandon Roy is the Man! Would love tickets.thanks
December 2, 2010 at 17:15
YES! BECAUSE THIS IS RIP CITY BABY!!! No matter what we’ll put our hearts into it and love them through the end!! =]
December 2, 2010 at 17:45
Nope, no playoff this year because as a Portland native and a life long Blazer fan, it is my experience that heart break is standard operating procedure. Some examples of the hope and subsequent dashing of hopes for your consideration:
1. Yea! We have one of the most promising young teams in the NBA and within a few years should be solid players and contenders for the Finals (but we have multiple injuries/trade away players/franchise team members whose joints don’t work/we are spiraling into a team that the weakest NBA teams can take down to pad their own rankings)
2. Yea! we get a 1st round draft pick who is going to shut down the paint for all comers (who turns into the Samuel Jackson character “Mr. Glass” in Unbreakable)
3. Yea! Joel Prizbilla is recovering! (but then he slips in the shower/lacerates his finger/has a case of the Hershey squirts)
etc. etc. etc.
So, in summary, No playoffs. Proceed with the heartbreak.

December 2, 2010 at 18:05
No. Too many injuries. But I have hope…especially for next season.
December 2, 2010 at 18:07
It’s still early on in the season – anything can happen! I believe in my Blazers and would love to go cheer them on in person!
December 2, 2010 at 18:08
YES they will!
December 2, 2010 at 18:27
The Blazers WILL, absolutely, make the playoffs. They respond incredibly well to adversity – see: last years entire season. Nate is a warrior of a coach who will have the guys ready to battle. Right now, it’s just a rough stretch that will pass with a few wins in the near future. PICK ME PLEASE!!! I wanna take my boyfriend to see Blake Griffin!!!
December 2, 2010 at 18:29
Having these tickets would really make my weekend! I don’t think they will make it to the playoffs….but who cares!! I will still cheer them on.
December 2, 2010 at 18:33
The Blazers will make the playoffs, no doubt about it. But, like every other year, they won’t make it all the way. It’s tough being a Blazer Fan.
December 2, 2010 at 19:09
No they will not win because the Trailblazers suck a@@
December 2, 2010 at 19:14
I think we’ll be close, and for sure next season.
December 2, 2010 at 21:28
I believe they will make it
December 2, 2010 at 21:43
Um, probably not. but I still want to see them kick LA’s ass, being an ex-los angelean, this needs to happen.
December 2, 2010 at 22:09
Of course! Because I believe in them!
December 2, 2010 at 22:50
The Blazers will certainly make the playoffs. Why? Because they are the last team in the West with heart.
December 2, 2010 at 23:24
OOOOOH Yesss they will get their Brand On Back and start shredding opponents and ripping their way back into the playoffs! I’d love to root the Blazers on and bring a friend who is passing through town this weekend. Watch out Clippers…You’re in Rip City NOW!
December 2, 2010 at 23:33
yes, because I said so.
December 3, 2010 at 00:21
Yes they will make it to the playoffs because I will be there to cheer them on when I win these tickets. I will then realize that basketball games are tons of fun (I’ve never been to one!) and become a regular at games to continue to cheer them on, and come playoff time they will be there!
December 3, 2010 at 01:03
you’re kidding, right? nate doesn’t even look like he cares if he’s fired. besides, this was supposed to be batum’s year and he’s riding the bench. with coaching like this, we don’t even deserve to get above .500.
i would love to see the blazers for free, ’cause i’m broke & don’t want to support the current system by buying tix or swag. thanks.
December 3, 2010 at 08:48
The Blazers are going to make it to the playoffs because:
A) The are going to beat the Clippers
B) This will cause a snowball effect and the blazers will begin to steal their opponents athletic powers after each successive victory (ala Space Jam).
C) They will use this combined hoops ju-ju to magically fix Greg Oden’s knees making them all but unstoppable and guaranteeing them their rightful place as champions of the universe.
December 3, 2010 at 08:55
yes, they”ll make it to the playoffs because hopefully by then i’ll have a job again and be able to afford tickets.
December 3, 2010 at 09:05
as long as ripcity believes, the blazers will make the playoffs.
December 3, 2010 at 09:52
No big deal… Of course the Blazers will make it to the playoffs. It’s not even half time yet. We’ve got the whole 2nd half left… All they need is a little locker room pep talk from Nate and they’ll come charging back.
December 3, 2010 at 09:52
Good things come to those who wait.
December 3, 2010 at 10:06
We are HUNGRY for a WIN!!!
December 3, 2010 at 10:26
pick me
December 3, 2010 at 10:34
Heck ya they’ll make the playoffs!!! I know they will come through in the end.
December 3, 2010 at 10:44
Not to be a downer, but I really don’t think the Trailblazers will make the playoffs this year. They just aren’t that great of a team this year, in my opinion!! Don’t get me wrong, I’d be the first one cheering for them if they did make the playoffs. I just don’t think it’s going to happen this year!!
December 3, 2010 at 10:59
We NEED it after the news of injuries recently. We must win, RISE WITH US!
December 3, 2010 at 11:16
They’ll make the playoffs. They’re well-coached, experienced, and have the biggest home court advantage in the league.
December 3, 2010 at 11:21
I love balls!
December 3, 2010 at 12:00
Close your eyes, make a wish & believe…
December 3, 2010 at 12:01
Definitely. If we have seen anything from these Blazers, it’s that they respond positively to adversity and an underdog status. Brandon will get his knees under him, we’ll be gifted with some interior presence from Big Przy, and the second unit will gel. Our shooting drought can’t last, and if Sarge keeps working it, our D will improve. We may still not make it out of the first round, but I’m not willing to throw in the towel after a handful of crappy games.
GO BLAZERS.
December 3, 2010 at 12:04
There’s no reason they shouldn’t make the playoffs, but I expect to see some roster moves before they make a big push in the second half of the year.
December 3, 2010 at 12:07
Yes… I believe they still will. Why? Well it could be that i’m an unbelievable homer and an optimist at heart… The Vanilla Gorilla returning soon is a bigger deal than most realize as good defense can turn into effortless offense by way of fast breaks, etc. – something we’re going to see more and more of as Brandon’s minutes are limited and fast-paced players such as Wesley and Patty see more time. GO BLAZERS!
December 3, 2010 at 12:08
The Blazers will make the playoff because they have the talent to do so still.
December 3, 2010 at 12:11
The Blazers have a long season ahead of them and right now they are in pieces. However, the veteran leadership of Nate, Andre and Marcus coupled with skills and budding leadership of Roy and Aldridge indicate that they have all of the tools they need to pick up the pieces and try and put a successful season together. The return of Przybilla will strengthen our defense and open up the lane for Andre, Roy and even our promising rookie, Armon Johnson. It is important to note that we are not a worse team than we were last year. We have added a gob of talent with Wesley Matthews, who, if he learns to shoot free throws, will be a very complete player for us. Nicolas Batum won’t stay quiet all year, and Rudy is still a very promising player.
I think this will be a very tough season for the Blazers full of ups and downs as they learn how to work together and adapt to the roster we now have, adapt to Roy’s decreased minutes, Joel’s return, Matthews increased minutes and more. However, I do think the Blazers will get it together enough by the end of the season to slide into the playoffs.
With this 5 game slide, other teams are starting to write us off. That plays to our advantage. Watch out Western Conference!
December 3, 2010 at 12:17
I don’t think so. Our hopes rest on the damaged knees of Greg Oden and Brandon Roy. If we don’t change our offense (1-4 BRoy isolations) we’re gonna miss out in a very balanced western conference.
December 3, 2010 at 12:17
The Blazers will make the playoffs on the return of Joel Pryzbilla solving the woeful hole left at center whenever Marcus Camby leaves the game, combined with the strong late season play of Nicolas Batum. Batum is still a very young player, and while he has been inconsistent at the beginning of this season, he has shown flashes of brilliance. As the season rolls on I suspect he will begin to take a larger and larger role in both the offense and defense, pushing Portland to the #6 see out west.
December 3, 2010 at 12:20
O yeah, Just little bumps in the road that we can overcome, Blazers fans and players and the whole community loves our Blazers. No worries yet…Still bunch of games to be played and Thrilla comin back…Dre playin his heart out..Broy playin with strength and the will… man I love my Blazers
December 3, 2010 at 13:11
Of course they will. Przybilla will come back and shore up the frontcourt and give them a much needed bruiser inside.
December 3, 2010 at 13:14
The Blazers will definitely make the playoffs. Look at the past few seasons – they are no stranger to adversity. And with Joel coming back soon, the best is yet to come.
December 3, 2010 at 13:20
Give me a winter wonderland with free tickets to this game. I have yet to sit close to the court. Again, your mom says to give me free tickets. SO, no excuses this time.
Stay cool, don’t drool.
December 3, 2010 at 13:26
Yes, I think the Blazers are still talented enough to make the playoffs, but they won’t make it out of the first round. They’ll probably finish as a 7th seed at best.
December 3, 2010 at 13:40
Yes, the Blazers will make the playoffs. When they have two healthy big men (Marcus and Joel), there will be huge improvements in defense and in the spacing on offense.
December 3, 2010 at 13:53
The Blazers will make the playoffs because we have fantastic talent!
December 3, 2010 at 14:07
Yes, even with the injuries now, they are a solid team. Matthews is producing well and Pryzbilla is coming back soon. It’s still early in the season, once they get into a groove and have a consistent lineup, they’ll be well on their way.
December 4, 2010 at 07:51
Of course our Blazers will make the play-offs! What a silly question to ask for those who have faith in our boys. Besides, we have a Kiwi, an Aussie, a second string od great potential to go along with the healing of Joel, the atamina of Brandon, and the heart of LaMarcus. Weslet, Andre, Marcus are strong, and Nic is becoming a man before our eyes. Rudy, who is injured and homesick, is even giving it his best. This is a team with so much heart, and I think Nate knows the right combination of strategy, discipline, and love.
True fans don’t stop believing and hoping when things get hard.
December 4, 2010 at 20:35
Of course they will make the playoffs! They are used to injuries and having to work together to fight back.
