8:30 PM | 5PM

An evening showcasing Portland's dark wave – gorgeous, brooding sounds from some very talented new acts.

The Reservations is the new R&B project by Rex Marshall of Mattress, joined by Chris and Tom Hoganson of Leather Tom & The Dirty Dudes! Known to playfully refer to themselves as “Booker T. and the Black Sabbaths”, they churn out funereal, organ-driven soul music with a garage rock edge, in which Rex's ultra-deep vocals – akin to a Vegas lounge singer – are paired with Chris Hoganson's emotive falsetto.

Jewels of the Nile make dark airy downtempo electro dance music. The band is composed of Jessy Montaigne and Meghan Christine of Magick Daggers, joined by Mark Ingram of Crossover. Aquarians born in the year of the Tiger, Jessy & Meghan came together to perform a Solstice rite conjuring the Marquesa Casati, which lit the fire for the music frenzy that followed. The trio will soon be releasing a split 7″ with Soft Metals on the Desire label!

Also not to be missed are two of Portland's finest new goth outfits, Vice Device (who recently wowed the crowd opening for Glass Candy & Chromatics, and feature Andrea aka DJ Linoleum), and Dark Entries (who feature Mando Blanco from Magic Johnson and occupy the self-described “gay goth” genre)!
