The BellBoys (myspace.com/thebellboyspdx) will release their new CD, I'll Be Here All Night, amongst friends Fruition, Shook Twins (shooktwins.com) and Hives Inquiry Squad (myspace.com/hisquad) at Mt. Tabor Theater on December 9. The album showcases The BellBoys' Americana folk-rock sound with shreddin' guitar work and passionate three-part male harmonies. It was recorded by Matt Stegner at Blackout Studios in Seattle, and was mixed and mastered by Erick Jaskowiak, a Nashville-based producer for multiple Grammy-nominated artists. Fans at the release party will fawn over the bands' infectious grooves, twangy tension, and billowing swagger.
Supporting acts this evening are familiar area crowd-pleasers. Nat Keefe, guitarist of Hot Buttered Rum, calls Fruition, "the biggest rock stars I've seen with acoustic instruments.” As an innovative folk duo, Shook Twins, Katelyn and Laurie, achieve perfect harmony with crystalline voices and dynamic instrumentation. Finally, Hives Inquiry Squad, a hip-hop duo, will continue to impress audiences with their funky, electronic barrier-breaking music and introspective lyricism.
