The Bubblin DJs present the Pacific Northwest debut of acclaimed producer/DJ Ramadanman!

David 'Ramadanman' Kennedy has been DJing since the age of 14, beginning with deep house and hip hop and progressing to jungle as he grew older before focusing his attention on dubstep having been inspired by a Mala set after reaching FWD for the first time in 2006. Since then David has racked up a number of critically acclaimed releases on a diverse selection of labels including Soul Jazz, Tempa, Aus, Critical Music and Hessle Audio, the label he co-runs with Pangaea and Ben UFO. Since its inception in 2007, Hessle Audio has firmly established itself as a definitive advocate for beautiful mongrel strands of garage, house, dubstep and post genre sounds, issuing many roundly lauded debut releases by trailblazing artists such as Cosmin TRG, Untold, Joe, James Blake and Elgato.

Ramadanman has also remixed a variety of artists including the Ragga Twins, Scuba, Beat Pharmacy, Howie B, SpectraSoul and the Bulgarian group Wickeda. He has enjoyed DJ support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Skream, Mr Scruff, Craig Richards, Francois K, Kode9, Mala, Distance, Mary Anne Hobbs, Rob da Bank, Gilles Peterson, Will Saul and many more. He is also heavily involved in organizing the Leeds night Ruffage as well as co-hosting the now infamous Ruffage Sessions weekly internet radio show on Sub FM. Ramadanman DJs often both nationally and internationally including regular dates at the dubstep institution, FWD in London.

Founded by residents Lincolnup and Ben Tactic, Bubblin puts on dance parties in Portland, OR. The two veteran DJs met in late 2009 at a Gant Man show and bonded over their shared love of music emerging from the mutant funky/house/garage/tropical/post-dubstep continuum. From there they decided to establish Bubblin, becoming the Pacific Northwest's first advocates for these forward thinking sounds. Since then Bubblin has consistently featured debut Pacific Northwest performances by ahead of the curve artists, such as Roska, Ghosts on Tape, Dubbel Dutch, Distal, Kyle Hall, Nguzunguzu, LOL Boys, and Dave Nada, and was one of a handful of Pacific Northwest crews awarded an official showcase at Decibel Festival 2010. Bubblin is dedicated to bringing up to the time and timeless dance music to the good people of Portland, OR and beyond.

Would love to be bubblin into the new year,
for Ramadanmans very first time here.
I’ve got no dough, its painfully clear,
I want to dance and I’m being sincere,
Don’t want to be home cryin’ in my beer.

My partner and I love going to Holocene, and are lovers of DJ/electronica music. I work at Dove Lewis on New Year’s Day, leaving him alone with nothing to do (since he always tells me “it’s no fun going out without you”). I would love to give him the gift of such a fun event to attend while I’m working. He couldn’t refuse if attendance was won, right? ;)

I would love to get tickets for my boyfriend and myself because this has really been a rough year emotionally and financially for us both. This year we didn’t buy one another anything for Xmas because we just wanted to make sure our daughter and parents had a nice holiday. And on top of that we had to use our going out money for new years to buy our daughter a birthday present today as it is her bday and she’s five and that’s much more important. But I feel that we need a stress free night to rock the fuck out and blow off some steam at a badass event like this.

Because me and two awesome buds are traveling from Vancouver, Canada for a three night adventure in Portland to ring in 2012 and this would be the icing on the cake!
