Announcing the First Annual "NORTH meets SOUTH" Food & Drink Jubilee. The producer of the “Best of Oregon” Food & Wine Festival, brings together top wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants, for an elegant and exclusive event taking place at The Benson Hotel Friday March 25th and Saturday March 26th, 2011.
"NORTH meets SOUTH" Food & Drink Jubilee offers a weekend of tastings and fun activities. In addition to a full list of top-notch producers from Canada to Mexico, the weekend's festivities also include exclusive wine tasting sessions, a silent auction, live music from local R&B artist Patrick Lamb, culinary and spirits competitions, and a private trade-only event, with a percentage of ticket sales, and 100% of silent auction proceeds, benefiting Salud Wine Auction.
Tickets are available for Friday March 25th or Saturday March 26th. You can also purchase a two day pass for a special rate. Ticket price for both events include samples of delicious food bites prepared by over 20 participating chefs and tastings of over 100 wines, spirits and beers from large and boutique producers.
Guests will be able to purchase unopened bottles of wine and beer, and will have a chance to win a trip to British Columbia's wine country.

This would be such a fun event to attend. I haven’t been able to get out to wine taste in a long time due to working too much. Pick me and you can know i’ll make sure two people, at least, have a great time via PDX Pipeline!

Great food, great wine, all for a great cause. Proceeds from the event help buy medical insurance for migrant agricultural workers who can’t afford to buy it. The money I save from winning the tickets (I’m keeping my fingers crossed) will go towards buying items in the silent auction.

Wow what a fabulous opportunity to experience new sensations in food and wine! When we were married in British Columbia we went on a wine tour and brought home so many bottles of wine and a wine barrel. Customs made us wait while they searched the barrel to ensure we were “sneaking” anything out! I would love the chance to attend and participate. Maybe we would win a return trip to BC! Yah! More wine!
This event is perfect timing. My girlfriend and I met downtown that same week, in 2010. This will be our first annirversary and we can return to the scene of the crime. We’ll raise our glasses and make a toast to Pdx Pipeline!

This event is very close to my boyfriend’s birthday. It would make a wonderful gift for our 5th year together! We have been beyond broke since moving across the country a few months ago & would relish the opportunity to have a real outing that we aren’t going to regret spending money on since we still need furniture. Winning tickets to this would make my 2011. The event sounds amazing! Perfect place for a blossoming foodie to practice some appreciation. It’d be a welcome change from the PBR and terrible cooking that fills my day to day. The extra ticket might even make up for the christmas present I kind of failed on for the guy in my life. I am a native Portlander and have never been to the Benson for an event. This would be a great way to celebrate my Vernal Equinox birthday in my favorite city.

I would love love love to win this for my wife! As a current grad student, funds are limited to say the least, and I would love to treat my wife to two nights out to enjoy some of the best food and drinks Portland has to offer. She works hard every day as essentially a single mother to our 16 month old son, and is a huge foodie, so I know she would absolutely love to attend this event!

Having been so busy this last month looking for a job for me, we still have yet to just take some time to enjoy ourselves. As a I am a former chef, and she is a newly converted foodie from suburbia this would be a dream night out for both of us.
