The first intra-league bouts of the 2011 Rose City Rollers Home Team season. All four home teams will face off in half-length bouts to determine the seasons starting ranks.
This scramble will be held at Portland's Memorial Coliseum, the first time RCR teams will appear in the Rose Quarter venue.
Doors open at 5:00pm, event starts at 5:45pm.

i’m originally from an unfortunate area of the country where roller derby hardly exists. this would supplement my womens studies degree in the awesomest way! and i’ve also met roller derby girls traveling, which drives me crazy to have never actually seen ‘em!

my girlfriend and i were at oaks park skating rink, taking off our skates, when the rose city rollers took over the floor for practice. i think my jaw dropped. suffice it to say, i no longer have a girlfriend.

I used to “accidentally” take out people at the roller rink on friday night when I was in junior high, resulting in getting kicked out. I always dreamed of being in a roller derby, but then life happens. I have just now have been back to the gym for the last 7 months to get in shape to be the active mother my 7yro daughter deserves and think I am ready to try the intro to roller derby class, but it would be great to see it in action again – last time was 30+years ago when I was much younger – teen.

I’d like to win for my parents! It will be there 40th anniversary on January 16th. They haven’t been to roller derby since the 70′s, but have been talking about how much fun going again would be ever since I told them about the R.C.R. That may sound like b.s., but it’s not, they’re the best!
