——————————————
Fresh off a Saturday night loss to the Orlando Magic, the Minnesota Timberwolves made the trip to Portland for a Monday night match-up with the Blazers.
The Timberwolves should still be fresh for the Blazers, having played them in both December and January. In both games the Blazers managed to score over 107 points. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, as the Timberwolves are allowing 108 points per game (29th in the league).
The Timberwolves do rebound the ball well, thanks to all-universe rebounder and Lake Oswego native Kevin Love.
The Timberwolves on paper:
Starting five: Kevin Love, Wesley Johnson, Darko Milicic, Luke RIdnour, Corey Brewer
Off the bench: Anthony Tolliver, Martell Webster, Wayne Ellington, Jonny Flynn, Nikola Pekovic
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
Brandon Roy had successful surgery on his knees today.
Greg Oden had 24 points and 15 rebounds on MLK Day in 2009.
STRATEGY
In December, LaMarcus Aldridge had a career night against the Timberwolves. In January it was Wes Matthews' turn. Crash the boards and feed those two and the Blazers should leave the Rose Garden as winners tonight.
LET'S GET RICH
To date: 17-15-2.
Blazers -7.5. Blazers win big tonight.

BOTTOM LINE
The Blazers are currently in a soft part of their schedule. They cannot afford to become complacent. One game at a time.
