After an incredible last second game winner against the league best San Antonio Spurs, the Blazers start their 3 game Western Conference swing tonight in Oklahoma City against the Thunder.

This will be the first time the Blazers face the new look Thunder. Before the trade deadline Jeff Green was traded to the Celtics for Kendrick Perkins. A big that can play defense had been the Thunder’s missing piece. Since trading for Perkins the Thunder are 5-1.

The on Thunder on paper:
Starting five: Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, Kendrick Perkins, Thabo Sefolosha, Russell Westbrook
Off the bench: Nazr Mohammed, Nick Collison, Eric Maynor, Daequan Cook, James Harden

STRATEGY
Slow down the Thunder’s back court with solid defense from Wesley Matthews, Nicolas Batum and Gerald Wallace. If you can disrupt Russel Westbrook and Kevin Durant you’re in good shape against the Thunder.

LET’S GET RICH
To date: 32-23-2
Blazers +4. After an emotional win over the Spurs, I’ll take the Thunder.

PLAYOFF WATCH
If the season ended today the Blazers would face the Dallas Mavericks in the first round.

BOTTOM LINE
If the Blazers can keep winning they have a shot of moving up and playing the Thunder in the first round and possibly even take home court advantage.
