The hard-driving stringband juggernaut from Minnesota's great north woods is set to take Portland by storm on Saturday, April 9th at The Goodfoot Lounge.
Pert Near Sandstone recently received critical acclaim for their fresh take on the Beatles’ classic “I Am The Walrus” that appeared on the widely celebrated Minnesota Beatle Project Vol. 2. The album, which was co-produced by 89.3 The Current & Vega Productions, features 16 originally arranged Beatles covers that were recorded exclusively for the project with proceeds benefiting music and art programs in Minnesota public schools.

The Dust Settlers, a local acoustic 5-piece, will kick off the night with a set of their own Americana and alt-country songs; a perfect accompaniment to that first beer (or whiskey). The Dust Settlers are: Eric “Big E” Schweiterman on guitar & vocals; Scrafford Orser on shredding guitar & dobro; Ellie-Mae Holzemer Russell on fiddle & violin; Josh Collum on mandolin; and Dan Davis on upright bass with a grin.

About time these fellows came back to town! I am particularly excited about this show because I hear that their clogger might play as well, and he doesn’t usually tour with them.

AHHHHHHHhhhhh!!!! I am from Minne and I would simply ADORE you forever if I could get my hands on these tix! They were suppose to open up for Tea Leaf Green last year in Bellingham and they couldn’t make it!!! please, puh-lease, o PLEASE!!!!! I love them, I love them!!! I love you all too!!!! :)
