Dusu Mali Band, fronted by native Malian Ibrahim Kelly (nephew of Ali Farka Toure) combines Malian roots with a Pan African fusion of jazz, Afrobeat, blues, funk, and electronic space folk/groove. Dusu Mali Band's sound is expansive, polyrhythmic, and melodic, weaving soulful guitars, hypnotic bass, and pulsing African percussion. The word ¬Å“Dusu¬Â translates to ¬Å“gentle heart¬Â and the band strives to bring joy and unity with sound and dance.
