2011 Eat Mobile Portland Food Cart Tour
Friday, April 29, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Saturday, April 30, 6-9 p.m.
$45 | All Ages
Forktown Food Tours has teamed up with Eat Mobile for two bus tours of Portland's tastiest food carts. Go cart-hopping all over town, sampling from 10 different carts…wood fired pizza, Korean bbq, fried pies, banh mi, ethiopian, french dip, croque monsieur, guamanian, waffle sandwiches, porchetta, wild game burgers, handmade ice cream…you get the picture. Hear the stories and inspiration behind each cart, talk to cart owners, and get the ins-and-outs of Portland’s exciting street food culture.
Two bus tours are offered: a lunchtime jaunt on Friday April 29th and and evening excursion on Saturday April 30th. Each tour features different carts.
Lunchtime Cart Hop
This tour will meet downtown, where Portland food cart culture began. We will sample some great food, then hop on the ecoShuttle and head to the Crystal Food Garden in St Johns, because the food out there is just too good to miss. Then we will hit up the North Station Pod then finish our lunch loop on N Mississippi. 10 food carts in all, you might need a nap afterward!
Southeast Sunset Snack-a-thon
Experience food carts by sunset! On this tour, we will snack our way through 10 different carts at four SE Portland food cart pods including Cartopia, 48D, A La Carts and Good Food Here. Cart owners will offer up bites of their creative cuisines and share the stories behind the tastes.
