On Sunday, May 1 Modified Style Portland presents the third annual Fun(d)raiser Fashion Show. Come join Neuro, the first truly functional beverage, and watch Models strut their stuff on the catwalk while over sixty designers showcase their work - all to raise funds and awareness for three local beneficiaries, Sisters Of The Road, Out to Pasture Farm Sanctuary, and Children’s Healing Arts Project (CHAP).

Modified Style is not your typical fashion show–in addition to incorporating sustainability into every aspect of the event and raising money and awareness for these local charities, the organizers aim to inspire confidence in men and women who have never designed before. Last year’s winner was the talented Ms. Wood, who with her newfound confidence went on to win Catapult, Portland Fashion Week’s much-anticipated Emerging Designer Competition. At the show grab a NeuroBliss and de-stress with fashion and fun while watching these up and coming designers.

With DJ Prashant spinning his tunes and teaching how to dance–Bollywood style!, a raffle with fabulous prizes and a chance to buy your favorite creation at the Silent Auction, this year’s event looks like a fantastic way to spend an evening. So, drink a NeuroSonic for healthy energy for the night, and make memories while making a difference for local non-profits.

My girlfriend and I are volunteering tomorrow for Rebuilding Together, so what better way to start off a weekend for good causes. I really like the organizations they are supporting and would love to support them as well. I’ve also never been to a fashion show and think this would be a great introduction!
