Sprout Presents a night of diabolical sound with master producer Ill Gates for Cinco De Mayo. As usual our night will be filled with immersive visuals brought to you by pleasuretek, as well as fresh local vendors, with all sorts of dope gear. DaBooth will also be joining us with a super special festive booth to capture your memories of what will be one of Sprouts best nights yet.
ill.Gates is a Toronto-based composer, performer and educator. Over the past 16 years, he has established a global fanbase and a reputation as one of the most dynamic electronic music artists around. He regularly tours across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Gates has headlined at such festivals as Burning Man, Shambala, the World Electronic Music Festival and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. While on tour, Gates frequently teaches workshops to grateful and attentive audiences, in which he shares his highly effective approach to producing quality finished music as well as insights into the mentality and strategies necessary to succeed in the music business.
Danny Corn has been an instrumental player in the formation of what has been called the “west coast” sound. Danny’s influence has been felt from the early days of Moontribe in the Southern California desert to the acclaimed Symbiosis Gatherings in the Northern California forests. Proudly calling Portland, OR his home, he has been spending most of his time focused on music production. His sets cover a variety of tempos that are all firmly rooted in what can best be described as eclectic bass music.
DJ and Producer D Poetica started creating beats and DJing in 2002 in Bend, Oregon. After living all over Oregon and in the Bay Area, D Poetica's DJ sets and beat projects have evolved into a mix of sounds and styles deeply influenced by the fusion between technical electronic music and party-style, dance-floor hip-hop. D Poetica aspires to produce beats and mixes that are not only accessible and fun but also have something genuine and new to bring to the table. D Poetica's sound is largely influenced by such innovative pioneers as Megasoid, Lazer Sword, Nosaj Thing, fLako, Powell, and Flying Lotus who are forging the way with their own brands of futuristic street level bass heavy music.
Having shared the stage as an opener for talented acts such as; Blockhead, Signal Path, Mochipet, Lorn, Splatinum, Nicoluminous and others, Mr.Wu's ¬Å“dark and heavy meets fun and funky¬Â sets keep the audience engaged from beginning to end. He prides himself on his track selection, keeping super picky about what tracks he drops and how he plays them.

I consider the Waterfront Cinco deMayo the kick off outdoor event d’attend, of the spring. Outclassing the stressed out Rosefestival waterfront amusement center, and bringing a fiesta like atmosphere to the awakening season change. Food , craft and music are abundant in variety. I’d love to check it out again, the admittance is a minor set back, considering you’ll spend money anyway. Anyway hope to see ya’ll there!

Part of my mexican heritage is celebrating cinco de mayo. I’ve never been to the Whiskey bar, and i’m thrilled that they’re going to be celebrating in style, for this hispanic holiday. I can’t think of a better way to spend this night, than at the Whiskey Bar!!

I want to take mah girl out and do cinco de mayo, right. The only way to do that would be to spend the night at the whiskey! and the only thing that would make the night better would be to get in for free, because we both have to work, and won’t get down there til the cover goes up.
