On Friday, June 10th the Labyrinth Masquerade Ball, presented by the Frim Fram Foxxies, will take place at the Bossanova Ballroom. This fabulous costume party is a celebration of the lavish and decadent movie The Labyrinth.
In addition to a dance party with DiscJockey Gregarious, there will be five Labyrinth-themed burlesque performances from:

Following these gorgeous acts is a live performance from the dark and sexy local band Fever Masqueraded revelers can look forward to a night of conjuring, creatures and cod pieces.
In addition to spectacular performances, the highlights of the night will include:

I grew up with this movie! It is in my top three favorite movies of ALL TIME!!! I have every line and song memorized!!! David Bowie is AMAZING!!!! I could totally use a pair of tickets because my best friend has been an obsessive fan of Labyrinth her whole life. She has posters up in her house still to this day even though her family thinks it odd for a 30 year-old mother of three to be still obsessing.
Anyway, I already have a blue jacket just like the one in the ball in the movie and was going to get a wig to complete the look and take her. Only issue is I am unemployed and can’t sport the funds. Just to really get how important this was going to be for her, I was going to shave my beard off which I have had for at least the last 15 years.

This movie is one of my all time favorites. I can remember as a kid doing the magic dance with my mom. I would love to surprise my wife and take her to this.

The first time I met my significant other was while I was singing David Bowie’s “As the World Falls Down” at an open mic. The dance falls on our two year anniversary and it would be wonderful to celebrate this day doing something that reminds us of our first meeting. :)

I have been a life long fan of the movie and I have never been to a masquerade ball. I haven’t had a proper date with my husband of 15 years in ages and this seems like a perfect was to fix that problem. I would love to surprise him with this type of experience.
