Discos Discos
w/ DJs Zac Eno, RumTrigger
Saturday, June 11
9 p.m. | $4, FREE before 10 p.m. | 21+
Starting with September 2010′s inaugural dance party, Discos Discos has quickly become one of Portland’s savviest vessels of global bass musics. Djs Zac Eno and Rumtrigger are introducing South and Central America’s Cumbia, Baile Funk, Champeta, Reggaeton, Guarachero and African styles such as Kwaito, Shangaan Electro, Soca, and Kuduro to Portland’s busiest and subsequently most diverse dance floors!
However, with new genres come new talents not only showcased by Rumtrigger and Eno, the monthly at Holocene has also introduced new VJ artists mainstays Trance Forever, and brought in the phenomenal electro band, Los Macuanos from Tijuana, Mexico (January). With a devout following already in tow, Discos Discos has moved to the weekend to expand its own culture as rapidly as the genre and world itself.
