The Ecopalooza Project is proud to announce the 2nd annual Ecopalooza concert, a 100% solar-powered Wine and Jazz event raising awareness about clean energy and raising funds for the installation of a solar panel array to a local high School. On Saturday, July 23, 2011, Ecopalooza sponsors Amtrak, The Green Economy, Providence Portland Medical Center, and Gunderson will join music, wine and solar energy lovers to enjoy a concert and wine tasting in Pioneer Square in downtown Portland.
In addition to great food, wine and music, Ecopalooza will set a Guinness World Record for the largest all day 100% solar-powered concert.
Ecopalooza will feature world-renowned jazz performers including Grammy Award winner Shannon Sanders, Grammy-nominated Patrick Lamb and jazz sensation Devin Phillips.
Ecopalooza will raise funds from ticket sales to install a solar energy system at a local school within the Portland Public School District.
In addition, Ecopalooza will be donating a dozen refurbished computers to children within the Portland Community. Green Economy TV hosts Andrew Mallory and Don McCoy will team up with FOX 12 News to capture the event.

I look forward to enjoying a nice green vinho verde at this event ;)
I’d like to attend because my wife and i are new to Portland. We moved to town on the first of July so she could follow her art school dream after a long period of rough health. Upon arriving the job I had lined up fell apart. It would be nice to attend something like this in the midst of both joy and struggle.
I love wine, jazz and the environment! How perfect! Plus I’m a guinness geek and would love to be part of the record!
I love learning about clean energy alternatives….and wine is great too!
I have lived here for almost a year but never take the time to enjoy any of the festivals. I made a promise to myself to enjoy one new thing once a week so this would be great!
I would be thrilled to win tickets to this because renewable energy is one of my passions. I was born in India, which is a country that struggles greatly with electricity distribution and lack of energy resources. In 2005, I volunteered with a local NGO and traveled to India and Sri Lanka, where I spent 3 weeks working with small villages on helping them achieve better energy efficiency. We installed water turbines and/or solar panels in order to provide these villages with electricity and/or running water. It was a very moving experience.
Thank you for your consideration!
I’d like to go because last year I couldn’t and my daughter helped work on it. I need to win a ticket or find a job.
Sounds like a great event and a great cause… who could ask for anything more?
Wine, jazz and solar power, all in one square?! I would love to go to this festival and enjoy this trifecta of ‘good’ness!
I love jazz. And wine. And solar power is awesome. What a great event to raise money for kids and schools that really need a boost right now. I’d love to go! Sign me up for the drawing.
Great cause. Pick me!
From parking garage to Portland’s Living Room to Solar Pioneer, we want to be there for Pioneer Square’s newest emergence.
Yay for wine jazz and solar powered shit! :)
I want to go! Mostly for the wine but the other stuff’s good too.

I would love to see a 100% solar-powered Wine and Jazz event raising awareness about clean energy and raising funds for the installation of a solar panel array!!
Thanks!
This kind of event is why I moved to Portland! Of course I was hoping to have a job too BUT that didn’t work out…this would life my spirits SO please pick me!
Wow, I love this event! Great cause, environmentally friendly, it could not get ANY better. I would appreciate you sending me! THANKS
I LOVE JAZZ AND WINE. I KNOW I COULD USE A KID FREE NIGHT OUT :-)
Love the fact that the event is environmentally friendly and there will be wine!!!
Supporting a local school, while attending an all day solar powered concert is an amazing treat. Food, wine, and meeting new people are all added bonuses. Count my post as an entry.
this is a great idea! sounds like fun :)
This sounds like such a great event, perfect for my new jazz-savy boyfriend and I to enjoy!
yes please!
wine and jazz are fun!
A fun event for a great cause. I would love to go!
Everytime we go near Pioneer Square my fiance tells me about how he sold them the copper grate thing on one of the buildings you can see from the square. Please give me tickets so he can do what he loves to do. And I can drink while he does it :)
I’m interested to check this event out and see what it’s like
Wine! And jazz! I’ll be warming up my jazz hands.
My daughter is out of town that night, so this single mom would love a night out on the town! And that it features solar power, fundraising for a PPS high school to receive solar panels, wine and to hear Devon Phillips play are just icing on the cake.
Thanks for the consideration!
Always wanted to witness a world record attempt… I think they’ll pull it off, but you should send me to confirm.
As the Sun does not appear to shine in Portland this Summer, Jazz and Wine will warm my soul, perchance to help bring some sunshine to the schools along the way!

I’d like to go because I haven’t been able to afford to go to any festivals in a long time, and probably won’t be able to for even longer.
I like trying new wines and my bf likes jazz. Win for both of us.
Sounds like a nice relaxing time and I could use some of that.
What a treat to make some history too along the way.
Thanks for the tip xoxoP
Why would I like to attend? Solar-powered wine and jazz? Two of my favorite things at the same time!
We are traveling from Florida to Portland for a week of exploring the city. We love wine and jazz and this looks like a fun event!
Would kill for these. Not literally.
We’re an older couple who have built our own solar earth bermed home 25 years ago. We’re always interested in being involved in anything that supports solar!
This event has everything… great causes, eco-mindedness, entertainment… and wine!!! And, I have friends & family in town from Seattle. And, we don’t have anything scheduled that afternoon! Help me show off Portland! Yay!
My cousin just got in town from Michigan to visit, and I want to show her the best time I can. We both love jazz and the wine tasting doesn’t hurt the appeal. This would be so much fun to do together and would be a memorable experience for both of us.
This sounds like a great event!
Wine tasting, jazz and solar power? What could be more Portland!
Sounds like lots of fun for a great cause!
would love to win these. hope i’m not too late !!
Did I make it in time? Love me some jazz and eco conscious events and businesses.
July 23 is my birthday. No one’s given me a birthday present in about 10 years (other than a free burrito from Qdoba). Not even a card. Has the world changed or have I? Whatever the reason, I really miss the fuss. It would be nice to have something special happen on my birthday for old times sake, so I could remember what it’s like to be a kid again.
I just had a dream I drove across country during the apocalypse to find my girl and while I was seeing off my travel buddies on the other coast she found me and we went into a field in the middle of the city where she flashed a bunch a kids and everyone was real sweaty. I like free things. Dreams are free.
S O L A R! and for schools………hopefully a good clean future for kids…………..yeah, i surely would love some good music and wine for a good cause……………….hope for a couple of those ? love the blog
I like wine and the environment, so I would really like to go to this concert powered by renewable energy sources!
thanks for the chance!
I love wine & solar energy, go green!
Ecopalooza Concert, wina and some sunshine, sounds like fun.
Wine is right up my alley. I would love to win a ticket to this. Now that I live on the bus line, I can have a drink and take the bus home instead of driving. Who wants to drive in the city and try to find parking when Tri-Met will take me home after I have had a drink.
This sounds remarkable. I would love to attend for so many reasons but the truth of the matter is I enjoy wine. period. please pick me.
